I've never said Margarito was a bum. I just got pissed about the whole most feared fighter crap back in the day. It became a nuesance. I don't think Margarito brings much other than toughness and power, but that's usually enough to carry the day. Far from being a bum.

Margarito is like a bigger,stronger, harder hitting version of Ricardo Torres and we all saw what Torres did to Cotto.

A) Torres fight - shows his ability to recover and determination/heart.

B) Mosley fight - Shows he's a smart fighter...even boxes mosley AND looks good doing it...

C) Malignaggi fight - shows he can fight a guy successfully who is a very good pure boxer...shows versitility.

D) Judah fight - once again shows his smarts as he very carefully works the body and then the chin to put him away...shows just how effective he can be as he keeps coming forward.

very true. but theres always two sides to every story...

im not saying cotto is the best in the world or a "complete/perfect fighter" (no such thing actually)...

im just saying neither fighter's record should be laughed at or looked at as if they have been given a huge favor by getting the fight.

they both deserve it in my opinion. its a fight that should have been made before...it (in my opinion) forces action...drama...and now that floyd has "retired", excitement.

i dont like it when cotto OR margarito fans come along and try to dismiss the other as a bum...its not fair to either boxer who has accomplished a lot.
