Angry talk. Wack? The angry kid in the corner said I'm wack?
Am I supposed to care about that? I just died a little inside because I lost your seal of approval...
Other favorite fighters include Toney, Morales, Hagler, Hearns, Holyfield, Nelson, Chavez, Quartey, Holmes, McCallum. Great.
I've been watching Floyd box for a long time. He is popular here in Michigan because of his GR roots. Started watching him around the time he beat Rios over at Van Andel. He's a great fighter and could accomplish a lot more in his career. He's not my favorite but I certainly don't hate him. If he comes back, great, if not, that sucks. He still ain't as great as Whitaker, not yet.
Funny that you'd even mention anything about hating anyone when you have a full blown man crush on Floyd. Poll speaks for itself. Easy decision.Comment

Of course if makes sense. Mayweather is undefeated and is a 6 time world champion, Whitaker isn't. Thats looking at the stats without looking at the reasons but in black and white, he still did it and accomplished more. Whitaker could have done it as well I'd say but...
Whitaker fought the better competition and I think was the better fighter as well.
Overall I would say Pernell Whitaker is higher on the list.Comment

Buddy McGirt was one hell of a boxer. Chronic shoulder problems hindered his success a bit, but he was still good enough to be considered one of the 5 best boxers in the world after he beat Simon Brown for the WBC Welterweight Title in 1991.
He was tough, he was very technically sound, he was smart, and he had one of the best counter right hands in the business. His wins over Genaro Leon, Howard Davis and Simon Brown (his best performance) were quality wins. He also managed to give the great Whitaker a very tough test in their first bout. That was a beautiful fight to watch from a pure boxing stance.Comment

Ahh I see. But those are only two reasons. How come you haven't listed all of Whitaker's?Of course if makes sense. Mayweather is undefeated and is a 6 time world champion, Whitaker isn't. Whitaker was a unified, undisputed champ at 135. Something Floyd never did. That would also make him a three-time champ. Not including belts at 140, 147 and 154. That's three more times, bringing the total to....six.
If you wanna say Floyd has more accomplishments than explain how. You can't just pick two for Floyd, none for Pea and then proclaim Floyd has more. Unless you think Whitaker - a guy who, like I said, was rated #9 all-time by The Ring - had zero accomplishments. If you wanna go that route, you list everyone's accomplishments. Once we throw in quality of opposition, we can reach a sound decision.Comment
