IMO Floyd is unquestionably the most hated fighter ever he is dispised by his own countrymen even in a Country v Country fight

he is disliked by nearly all media pundits and not just media pundits but ex Proffesional fighters and general Boxing fans

if anybody thinks he is gonna be more appreciated when he is gone they are wrong ,he is the worst example of an Elite fighter the sport has ever known mainly because he messes with traditons of the sport and that does not only get up fans noses it gets up Boxing historians Noses that this great sport can be devalued by someone who is supposed to be the figure head for the sport

do u think he is the most hated Figure Boxing has ever produced ? Ali did what he did but Ali never devalued the sport he enhanced it if anything with his showman ship and heart and his willingness to face the best fighters

EVERYONE hated Ali in his early days, alot of people had a strong dislike for Ray Leonard as well. It's hard to judge, Mayweather in a decade will be remember differently.

In a word 'no' he isn't the most hated boxer at all. He is (or should that be 'was') a fantastic talent and an exceptional boxer, just not a particularly nice person and definitely not a crowd pleaser in the ring. Does that means he is hated? No, just not a fan's favorite.

nobody seems to care? where were you hibernating for the last 2 weeks? this was big news for sure. especially that everyone knew that this retirement wasn't a garuntee cuz he has already announced his retirement a couple of times before and come back.

What i mean is, there isnt any sort of fan outcry for him to come back. Most boxing articles focus on how the WW division is better without him. The fights that the fans want to see will now happen. If he wants to come back to face the winner of Cotto/Marg, then he will be welcomed back with open arms from everyone. If he comes back to fight meaningless fights/rematches that nobody wants to see (Oscar & Hatton), then im sure people would prefer that he stay retired.
