p4p is there for a reason. For example, just because fighter A, fights fighter B and fighter C, it doesn't mean fighter B & C can fight eachother.

Example. Oscar fough Gatti and Hopkins. No way in hell Gatti is gonna fight Hopkins. Ever. The point is that Kessler could most likely beat Trinidad and Oscar, because they are gonna ever fight, in their primes they probably COULDN'T have. But, skills are what should be at question.

Would YOU pride yourself on fighter a bigger less skilled guy or a smaller, but better skilled guy? Honestly?

Both look about the same to me, the thing is though Hopkins fights at a higher weight.
I think Kessler is the bigger bodied guy. Nonetheless, Hopkins both in his prime and when he fought Oscar and Tito, was at 160, a lower weight class.

        Your ducking the question.

Would Kessler beat Oscar and Tito?

Its really that simple, yes or no?

          I answered the question.

'The point is that Kessler could most likely beat Trinidad and Oscar.'

Though they most likely would never have fought prime for prime, he would beat them. THat has nothing ot do with THIS argument. You don't determine the better overall fighter by if his best opponenet could beat other peoples best opponents HEADS up. Otherwise, the ****tiest heavyweight would be better than the best welterweight. Even a **** heavyweight's best win could most likely beat smaller fighters heads up. It's about skill.

          Now answer my question.

To be fair C-Drone, considering Blow and Hop were practically the same division then this isn't really a P4P debate...

But Hop has only beat one real LHW so far.
true, but if Calzaghe retires after he fights Jones(which I doubt), I would still consider Hopkins' wins at L Heavy as better than Calzaghes. Mostly because he jumped up two weight classes to beat a real L Heavyweight, while Calzaghe beat a 2 years older version of a semi-blown up Middleweight. also you have to take into consideration that Hopkins beat up Tarver pretty one sidedly while Calzaghe...well, he had a tougher fight with Hopkins.

I know its kind of loopy, but oh well.

It all matters on who Calzaghe decides to fight.

Yes, he would. duh. but fighters at higher weight classes are meant to beat fighters at lower weight classes. thats why theyre there.
Calzaghe and Hopkins did not fight at the same weight, so that has to be taken into consideration

In a sense, but I think in their primes, Hopkins was a slightly smaller guy than Calzaghe.

I guess my point is, Joe would - IMO - have had a very easy time with Tito and Oscar.

Agreed. If he's gonna be "the man" at LHW then he needs to put the work in, not just get a shot RJJ pay day.
