I voted no but he is shot, he isn't shot like James Toney, Chris Byrd, Evander Holyfield but he's shot nonetheless in the fact that his speed and reflexes have diminished a little, and he is older and less energetic.

Roy is only shot against someone who is a puncher. Calzaghe would be his best opportunity for one last hurrah.

Did you see Glen's last fight? He's still dangerous. I think that Roy lost his nerve more than anything and became tentative. I think his best matchup is against someone who isn't so heavy handed.

Roy can be hurt by a none puncher at this stage of his career though he has been hurt at one point or another in his last 5 fights

Calzaghe is capable of hurting him, if anything Calzaghe hits harder than Glen Johnson when he decideds to hit his oponent with full power

roy will get battered on the ropes in calzaghe fight. i hope there is a good ref who doesnt do anything ****** and step in if the shots are being blocked. i think roy has not got as bad chin as people make out. tarver hit him with perfect punch on the chin which roy didnt see. with johnson fight i dont know it didnt look like a clean shot that dropped him and i am sure roy hit his head full force off the floor, but in his last few fights he is getting hurt when he goes to ropes and lets the other guy tee off on him

                    WHAT!?

Im sorry, maybe Im missing something, but when a blown up James Toney beats the **** out of you and an also old man version of Larry Donald outclasses you, but you are shot.

I mean cmon, heres a clue...Holyfield was suspended from boxing by the New York State Boxing Commision for health reasons. They dont suspend ANYONE. If that doesnt scream 'shot!' at you, then I dont really know what to say...and that was 3 years before the Ibragimov fight! Its actually amazing that Holyfield was able to actually pick up wins, just remember all the gruesomely hard fights hes had throughout his career.

anyhow, this is what my definition of shot is:
                    1. You are a fourth or less of what you once were
                    2. Your ability to take punishment/avoid taking it has gone way down
                    3. You are struggling/losing to fighters that you really shouldnt be struggling/losing to.
Roy Jones qualifies. but admittedly, only just barely. Ive seen much worse.

He's clearly past his best, but not yet shot. I wouldn't say that until he has another stale fight. He showed against Felix he still had a lil sumthin left.
