Normally, guys like Mayweather, they duck but they do it with some class. Mayweather gave Cotto his props.

Calzaghe said that it was PAVLIK who didnt want to fight HIM?!?!?! Wtf. PAVLIK was asking for it, Arum was asking for it and said negotiations were going great, Warren even wanted it... CALZAGHE was the only one that didnt want the fight!!!! And he has the balls to say it was Pavlik who didn't want it? LOL.

And then he goes on to say that he is to big a step up for Pavlik??? Pavlik, who JUST became champ less then a year ago, ALREADY practically has an equal pedegree. I mean, taylor twice and Miranda and Zertucheis as good as Kessler and a 43 year old Hopkins. Calzaghe has a bit better ledger... but he has been champ for 10 YEARS!!!!! lol

Calzaghe is HARDLY a big step up, and now the pavlik-Calzaghe superfight will never happen, because Roy Jones is OBVIOUSLY going to knock the crap outta Calzaghe. what a mismatch that is
It was pretty obvious that it was Arum that didn't want the fight. Just watch the press conference for ****s sake.

"Yeah yeah, negotiations are going well, now stand up here and take a stare down photo with Rubio Kelly!"

It was obvious that Arum was trying to blow smoke up our asses. Anyone with half a brain could see that the only thing on his mind was getting Kelly a fight with Rubio.

Calzaghe being a lil ***** about it. Take the ****ing fight, get KOed by Pavlik, then retire. That's all you gotta do. So now sign the dotted line and stop acting like it's Pavlik who doesn't want the fight when he asked the ENTIRE crowd if he should fight him, and everyone agreed. Pavlik will sign the fight as soon as the contract is made, don't worry about that. I think, they used Lockett as a, let's see just how real Pavlik is and they found out the hard way after Pavlik dominated Lockett who I think Enzo thought was better than what happened. Then Enzo goes and asks Lockett how you think his son would fair in the fight and Lockett says don't risk it, guy is tough and hits hard. So now they tryin to find any bull**** to stay away. *******, lost all respect for Cal.

are you aware that the sole reason Gary Lockett was chosen for the Pavlik fight was because he is trained by Enzo Calzaghe, which would create a side-story for the Pavlik fight?

Any "uncertainty" u heard in Arums voice was just boredom from having to answer the same question 5,000 times.

I think it is Arum trying to lock up many things for Pavlik. He tried for Joe (you can tell from Joe and Lockett's statements the last couple days) but has Rubio as a failsafe. He is probably looking into other options also. I even heard Mayorga mentioned.

It is not always easy to get the big fish on your first try, so it helps to have something lined up as backup to keep Pavlik busy.

A Mayorga fight would be so damn meaningless. Maybe I'm the only one who has had enough of his share of fun watching Mayorga get his face mopped all over the ring and his loud mouth shut for the umpthteen time? Enough already. Pavlik is close to achieving greatness at such a young age, but if the promoters don't act on it, it'll slip. I think Pavlik gives anyone hell while he's in his current prime years, but he has to act now on these fights. He's tough as hell, durable, decent boxing skills, and hits hard as hell.

hopefully calzaghe beats roy jones (another great fighter) and then beats Pavlik and puts a stop to all the pavlik hype if your going to be a nuthugger at least nuthug a world class fighter and not a hype machine.

dont get me wrong I have no problem with non biased fans of pavlik but people who think pavlik is the bomb and unbeatable and has no flaws and dont give any other fighters credit piss me off.
I really dont see any Pavlik ****riders on this forum..
sure there are fans, but not ****riders

Joe Calzaghe on the other hand, well, lerk the forums and youll see the same bull**** by his cheerleaders.. hes better than a prime roy.. bla bla la.. **** that **** son..

Calzaghe is a big step up for Pavlik, he's on a whole different level from the opposition Pavlik has fought, I don't think Calzaghe is ducking him.

It would have been an interesting fight though.

Damn, I was once a fan of Calzaghe until he did this ***** move where he says he is retiring after he beats a shot roy jones jr. I'd laugh my ass of if roy pulls off the upset, just because Calzaghe is a clown with a hand picked resume of overrated fighters. Best name on Calzaghes resume is Eubank, Hopkins didn't look good against winky either because Hopkins is shotttttttt to pieces too. Calzaghe is a *****, and I hope the worse for him. In history books they will write how much of a ***** he was ducking fighters like Pavlik, **** right now I think even taylor whoops the crap out of Calzaghe. Calzaghes defense isn't even that good he got hit with some bombs by that overrated jeff lacy at times in his dominate performance over him.

If Hopkins can knock Calzaghe down, I wonder what Pavlik could do.

This is what would have happened to fraud Calzaghe if he got in the ring with Pavlik, but probably in the first round since he probably doesn't have bigger balls then Taylor.
