When people on this board refer to a "mexican fighter", they are going by characteristics that most mexican fighters seem to share. Oscar dropped those characteristics a long time ago when he became a promoter. like it or not, those are the facts.
and if someone is born in the states, they are americans above anything else. Oscar is a mexican american. just like someone from japanese decent born in the mexico would be a japanese mexican.Comment

oh and i think that mexican americans are surely americans above anything else, however some actions tell you that part of them is proud of their origins....especially a first generation mexican-american like oscar.....Comment

Nice. Cotto beats Margarito in a very tough fight. Fights De La Hoya and makes him look like a chump, and then Bob Arum offers Floyd 25 million to come out of retirement and fight Cotto. It could happen except the 25 million.Comment
