When people on this board refer to a "mexican fighter", they are going by characteristics that most mexican fighters seem to share. Oscar dropped those characteristics a long time ago when he became a promoter. like it or not, those are the facts.

Yep, and what do most over the hill fighters with nothing to lose do? Oscar is very clever he Knows people would jump on this, Why didnt he fight Cotto before he choose to rematch Mayweather in september then? Didnt he say he would never fight Mayweather again after the first fight because Mayweather didnt engage him?

Because if he did manage to beat mayweather it'd do wonders for his legacy. Not Mayweather has retired he's doing the next best thing.

Nice. Cotto beats Margarito in a very tough fight. Fights De La Hoya and makes him look like a chump, and then Bob Arum offers Floyd 25 million to come out of retirement and fight Cotto. It could happen except the 25 million.
