Calzaghe DUCKS Pavlik - Smart Move Joe

As I thought he would, Calzaghe chooses to fight an OVER THE HILL ROY JONES JR. instead of an actual "meaningful" fight with Pavlik.

Predictable, as he knows Pavlik is much more dangerous than RJJ at this point in their careers. But then, like I said in another post -- Enzo has protected Joe his entire career, and after hearing Pavliks' punches land on Lockett, he knew Pavlik would throw Joe a beating.

All of you Calzaghe nuthuggers should bow your head in shame, because even you have to admit Joe Calzaghe is now, and has been, THE most protected fighter in the last 15 years.

Having faced only 3 decent challengers at most in his ENTIRE career, it's all about getting a "W" on the record for Joe -- not about fighting the BEST fighters out there....

Both fights are interesting to me, but I'd rather see a Pavlik fight at this point.

Maybe he has ducked Pavlik in favour of the bigger payday with Roy Jones Jr, but you don't know **** at the moment. You know two things. 1) That the bull****ter supreme Bob Arum claims he wants Pavlik to fight Calzaghe, but that doesn't mean there has been an offer or even a consideration of an offer. 2) Calzaghe has been quoted as saying he would prefer Roy Jones Jr.

This doesn't mean the fight won't happen and it doesn't mean Calzaghe has ducked Pavlik.

More money with Jones fight tho, and Joe said he wants 3 BIG MONEY fights, he's said it since lacy so he's already had 2, so this could be his last fight

That article is a little over the top, and very selective about the quotes they use.

They are quoting BBC Sport, who are quoting the South Wales Argus. Something was obviously lost, or misquoted, because I actually read the article in the Argus today, and all he said was that it is unlikely.

Don't buy into the hype where Joe is concerned, too many people want to see him down.

yeah, im sure the devastating knockout of the mighty gary lckett has terrified joe. Get a grip you yank ******. Joe said two more fights and then retirement. For all you know, he could be planning to fight pavlik next. But like a typical uneducated hick you assume he is ducking him.
