Calzaghe Turns Down Kelly Pavlik, Wants Roy Jones

HAHAHAHA!!! I lolled when I read that calzaghe recommends that pavlik work on keeping his undefeated record for a while longer. We all know Calzaghe knew how to do that very well for years, and still does.

Does he really think an over the hill RJJ is a harder fight for him? Who the **** does he think hes kidding. Its called Joe knows Pavlik is WAY too dangerous for him and he hopes to retire without having to fight him so his record will stay clean.

I would not doubt if Calzaghe wants to fight Trinidad next, because we all know Trinidad is in his prime.

A 50% Roy Jones presents more a challenge than Kelly Pavlik. Jones has handspeed advantage over Calzaghe and even EXPERIENCE and Power.. All Kelly has is power advantage.

Jones will be the harder fight! I think Jones could catch JC with a cheeky hook with full beans on it and have JC on ***** street. JC will still win but the fight isnt as cut and dry as a UD over Pav

Did you watch him fight Hanshaw? He looked like cold molasses. After watching that fight I was praying he would retire, he is only about 50% of what he used to be.

Nobody wants Calzaghe to fight Pavlik because its too dangerous. Get real. Everyone thought Taylor would blow through Pavlik, and we see how that went.

And the only way it would be more of a challenge to fight Jones is that he would have to fight for 12 rounds instead of getting a short night by the way of Pavlik.

I wanted Calzaghe to fight Pavlik and I still think he will. I'm just trying to defend Jones as an opponent, it was only a month or two ago that everyone was all for it and people were out in numbers picking Jones in polls over Calzaghe... Now they've found their new hype job in Pavlik because he beat up Gary Lockett.. lol!

Pav has to unify 160. He should fight Arthur Abraham before he even thinks about Calzaghe. Just because taylor beat hop, who lost to Pav twice, and beat gary lockett doesn't mean he can command a fight with 40Cal. He has to get some more fights under his belt. He has unfinished business at 160 and 168. Cal deserves to make some money right now.
