His camp approached Haye's people to set up a fight but Haye turned it down.

        the guy can't get fights.

the big names don't want to risk fighting him.

those that want to fight him are too much risk and not enough reward.

he was fighting tomato cans to just stay busy and stay in shape but i don't know what happened. he fought a bunch of fights recently to get back in shape but he hasn't been able to get a fight the past year.

too bad. waste of a career. if he had signed with don or arum he would've had a belt already.

i hope he gets 1 or 2 fights with some big names or young up and comers like haye. he'll lose but he deserves a nice paycheck before retiring.

I think the only thing he has left is his power honestly. He doesn't seem to be the same TuaMan anymore.

            why would they do that?

haye is much younger , much more skilled at this point , better stamina , bigger , taller , longer reach......

tua is past prime , slower , fatter , shorter , at a reach disadvantage......

i doubt tua hits him cleanly more than once the whole fight......

He's not ranked by any of the sanctioning bodies, Haye wants a "top 10 heavyweight".

                too bad......

the bad diet and layoffs really hurt him......

if he was with don king he'd probably be a 2-3 time champ......

if he was with king now he'd hold a belt.

i know he's nothing now but i think a Tua-Toney , Tua-Peter would still be entertaining. even a Tua-Haye would still be entertaining.

                GO TUA!!!

                WAR TUAMAN!!!!!!

He probably would but when he did get his chance against Lewis, he didn't really look like he wanted to fight.

the w would come with a great name though......

how many guys have beaten tua?

ibeabuchi. a very good fighter who's name has reached mythical status almost because of "what could've been?" after being the only person to beat both tua and byrd.

byrd. one of the most skilled heavies of this era and ibf champion for a while.

lewis. one of the atg heavyweights and probably top ten all time.

not bad company for haye to be in.......
