History tells us so. Baldomir, Gatti, Hoya and Hatton were discredited AFTER the fights, no one was saying **** before the fights.

Get this: The challenges in boxing ARE CONTINUOUS with the exception of a very few times in history were the young lions were visibly inferior to the older guys.
Baldomir was such a big dog in the Judah fight, that betting was shut down. Gatti had already been smoked by DLH 5 years prior and made a name for himself in his wars with Mickey Ward for christ sake. DLH had one fight in the previous 2 1/2 years and Hatton was arguably beaten by a fringe guy in his only fight at WW. People were hoping these guys would beat Mayweather because they don't like the guy. But lets be real, Floyd was a heavy favorite in all of them.

Berto is one lucky MoFo. He's basically being given the title. With all the heavy hitters in the division, HE is the one who's gonna end up with the linear championship, what kind of **** is that. The green belt will lose all credibility when it's strapped around Berto's waist.

That would be cool, give shane a chance to get back his green belt....the one he lifted from Oscar way back then.

Then Oscar and Shane will go at it in Dodger stadium in a retirement fight!!!! That would be good at 147, one more time.

Berto reminds me of a young Shane Mosley but more vulnerable. Which is a damn good thing! Exciting as hell, still a bit green tho, id have him fight a few more fringe guys before tackling the divisions Big Dawgs! Imagine him versus Cotto, Judah, Cintron or Marg - JUICY!!!

Anyway im glad he gettin his shot but once he has the title theres no going back!
