I'm sorry man but I really do think Cotto,Marg even Shane would whip his ass. I see him as one of those guys with pop but his heart and chin might be suspect. I think Judah,Clottey,Williams will also have field day with him. He reminds me of a Jeff Lacy. All offense.

judah would be destroyed, clottey would be a great fight, shane would be a good fight, and margarito would beat him... hes still in the contender phase of his career....

Berto def needs to step up his competition a bit before fighting guys like Cotto or Margarito, or he'll be in for a rude awakening. But, I am very much a fan of Berto's style of fighting, a little work on the defense and he should do very well. And to Burner, who in the hell did Williams fight before Margarito?

          Berto would never beat Judah,
his handlers would never let him near to him

          Luis Collazzo would beat him

Berto only fought a collection of bums

Thats fine, if they dont want to rush him,
but than what right he claims to be a world champion ?

                No.1 contender?
funny, how can he get ahead of guys who would tear up his ass

That's why he retired in the first place. You cannot fight forever and for as much people were saying Cotto was his ultimate challenge soon people would discredit Cotto (weak chin, beat only inactive or old fighters and was kinda green) and say he was ducking Berto. History tells us so. Baldomir, Gatti, Hoya and Hatton were discredited AFTER the fights, no one was saying **** before the fights.

Get this: The challenges in boxing ARE CONTINUOUS with the exception of a very few times in history were the young lions were visibly inferior to the older guys.

I like Berto's ability but I don't think he is ready for the upper echelon. If he does improve technically then we may see the next best ww in the world.
