so in other words you give no credit to johnson for the jones victory for the sake of winning your arguement

I give him credit for it, he won the fight but it's not the same as a 38 year old Walcott beating a near prime Charles.

Again, back to the point of the size of heavyweight back then. He was a legit heavyweight by the standards of the time.

starting his career below 160 pounds and then coming in fighting shape of 196 is a big difference in any era. he's human and not a machine.

Archie Moore started his career at 147 but he grew into the light heavyweight division.

Ezzard Charles grew into the heavyweight division of the time.

ezzard charles is not archie moore

ezzard charles' best weight was at light heavyweight, and fighting fighters of the like. it doesnt change the fact that, even today, charles is remembered more for being a legendary light heavyweight, than being a heavyweight. your opinion doesnt change that either

He is remembered as a great fighter, of course his best weight was at light heavyweight.

But he was still a great fighter at heavyweight, and grew into the weight.

if he grew at his weight to become comfortable there, he wouldnt have as many losses, in between his prime, or his decline, and to lesser fighters

His skills were declining by 1953.
