Fighting the winner of the monster July showdown between Miguel Cotto and Tony Margarito would be a heck of a way to cap off an extraordinary career. Oscar has fought them all. He fought Tito when he was a wrecking ball unbeaten welterweight in a huge showdown, a Bernard Hopkins who had looked virtually infallible for around a decade, pound-for-pounders like Pernell and Floyd Mayweather, titans like Ike Quartey and Fernando Vargas. If he were to dethrone Cotto, who I favour over Margarito, it would be the perfect ending (I guess beating Floyd would be greater, but this will suffice!)

Quartey had already been stripped of his Titles for twice failing to defend against Andre Pestraev for health reasons.. Oscar was his first fight in over a year.

Ike was hardly a "Titan" when Oscar fought him.

Oscar didn't fight Vernon Forrest after he damn near killed Shane.

He didn't fight Winky..and the only reason he fought Hopkins was because he thought he was too old

The fight was close surprised me that the fight could have gone either way. Floyds fault for being on defense so much. And as it used to be, "you have to take the title from the Champion" its not a fight to see who has better defense you have to use offense too.
