No, I think Dawson will win a decision over Tarver, if that fight goes ahead.

So let's just save the bet until the time when Diaconu and Dawson clash? It's likely to happen eventually.

What about Dawson having a weak chin and being overrated?

He's too quick for Tarver to hit with a flush punch I reckon. He will land 25% to 50% more punches than Tarver, so he should win a decision.

He needs to not exchange too much with Antonio, stay on the outside and get his jab working early on.

Tarver has looked lethargic and slow against lesser quality opponents in his last outings. I think his age has finally caught up with him. Dawson is going to be to much for him. And its not that Dawson is a serious pressure fighter, but he will be punching more, providing more angles than Tarver has now gotten accustomed to. Shame cuz I like Tarver too.

Agreed, This fight will somewhat resemble Dawson/Harding. A good tactical fight between two skilled southpaws, but a fight in which the younger, stronger, faster, more power and better out boxer gets the better of the aging vetaran. If Dawson gets reckless, then he could blow it. But if he goes to the body early and establish himself, then he could win by unanimous decision or possibly late stoppage.

                      Younger....yes.....stronger.....I dunno about that.....faster....yes....more power.....Hell No.

Tarver is one of hardest punchers at 175...Tarver can still put together nice combinations with power as he showed against Woods, he also has really improved his uppercut, he hurt Woods a few times with his hard uppercut.

                      Tarver by KO or TKO
