Boxing is ****ing dangerous, getting hit for year and years is not a good move long run for your body. How many boxers really make it big maybe .05% out of all boxers . Now how many people get seriously hurt in the ring. Also this is a boxer forum so if people want to glorify boxers why do you not follow your own advice and do not respond or leave the thread. No need for you to respond i won't be reading it.
    No **** sherlock!

My goal was not to reach to the mindless. You stated that,"courage plays very little part in boxing at most times." Not only is that an oxymoron but it reflects the limited intelligence of the person that posted it. There is no need to engage in a verbal joust (especially since one of us isn't equipped) you can accept my offer to put on the gloves and prove me wrong.
again you miss my point. i apologize if i'm not making myself understood.

so you think serving your country in battle is the same courage as the courage needed in boxing in the ring?

just because you get in the ring does not mean you're brave. just like it's foolish for some people on these boards to say a fighter is a coward for getting koed of not signing the deal for a certain fight.

Because I think Bowe showed courage in his fights with Golota, but he also acted like a coward in refusing to fight Lennox Lewis.
Good point. Really good point. I wouldn't call him a coward for not fighting Lewis. Would you step in the ring with Lewis.

          Ahahahahahaha

You spell like a ****** yet claim to be a teacher. no commaYou usually type......like......this....and then accuse me of using run on sentences. You've been owned like a ***** by half of the forum, including the Ukrainian guy who can't speak English run-onand uses babel fish to translate what he wants to say. Please, don't ever try and correct anyone. About anything. Incomplete sentenceEver. No exclamation point

Exalxed on? What does that even mean? You claim it's a typo, but a typo of what exactly? What were you attempting to say?Good God!

Look at you all pissed off. lol "You usually type like"...lol Yeah, you pointed out a big mistake in 2 letters CLEGG. lol Just look at this post you wrote above. lol It reeks of mistakes, run-ons, and incomplete sentences. I've been owned by half the forum!!?? These are cotto fans for Christ's sake that you are even referring about CLEGG. lol You must be from overseas, because your spelling of "defence" is also missused. Fighters use defense, animals have defence mechanisms you clod. lol

I'd rather get in a boxing ring than....

            1. Fighting in a war
            2. Calling my boss a ****
            3. Running through the streets naked
            4. Bungee Jumping

            Get my point?

Boxing is about entertainment what happens to some fighters can be very unfortunate but they all know the risks and accept them for that matter

Boxing fans first porter call is watching entertainment they have no need to sympathize about the politics of the sport ,they pay their money they wanna see what they came

only and idiot would expect every fighter to play ball granted but that dont mean they have to respect him when they have paid to see a spectical he is not providing ,he is enititled to do that they are entitled to disrespect him and hold an negative opinion about him

Nobody is expecting u to fight like Gatti just a bit inbetween like Ray Leonard ,Lewis ,what they dont like seeing is ultra defensive fights like Ibragimov v Wlad ,Floyd v Baldy ,past injuries to fighters have no bearing on this kinda of ultra defensive crap

Second, I've said this on many posts before. Just because the guy doesn't fight the guys you want him to fight doesn't mean he's a coward. It also doesn't diminish his capabilities to beat any man in a match pound for pound. You box for 12 three minute rounds and then come post about cowards. Just box for 6 rounds ! I'll give you one better, let someone knock the **** out you and you get back up and kick their ass (as Cotto has done) then you post about cowards. Break your hand against someone's head and finish and win the fight without your best weapon(as Floyd has done) and then post about being a coward. Most of the people talking that coward **** has either never boxed or even been in a fight. I'm not trying to incite anyone to argue I'm just trying to instill some understanding into what it takes to be a prize fighter. Which brings up another interesting point. Isn't it called prize fighting? That term alone makes it a business. Would you do your job for less money just because some fool with a keyboard wants to be convinced you're the best at it? I doubt it. For those that have missed out on the opportunity to merit calling someone else that fights a coward. I'd be more than willing to take your names and host a boxing tournament at the base I'm stationed. I guarantee two things. 1. most of you won't accept the offer. 2. You won't call another fighter a coward if you do accept. Anyone that claim to box and still can call a professional fighter a coward, is either lying about their pedigree or was very bad at it and hates those that are good at it. PM me and I'll start a list for anyone wanting to accept my offer. I have access to a couple gyms across the country. (KY,TX,GA,OK and OH)
                Yap yap yap.

                And yap some more.

This is coming from a Fake Floyd fan.

                And all the more bollocks.

"I'm not fighting to prove to the fans who's the best".

Now I'm retiring coz my ***** ****** ass is too afraid to take on any top welters.

                yap and yap..

                And yap some more.

                And did I say... yap?

I'm sorry as well . I think courage comes in many forms. Serving my country takes courage just like facing Chico,Margarito or Cotto takes courage. Do you agree. We seem to agree on the coward thing .
