Can you imagine if Cotto would have went into retirement when the division was hot and Mayweather was in his position..
We wouldn't hear the end of it.. It's payback for his little ***** made fans and all the **** he has talked and not backed up.

I honestly do feel he is bored and tired with the sport.. Sometimes I get tired in the gym too where I don't want to go and I haven't been doing this for long.
I can only imagine what it's like being in the game 20 years and doing this **** on the daily.. It's stressful and the hardest sport I have ever done.

The only thing that makes me question his decision a bit is his timing..

I think he will be back in a year or so to fight Cotto if he continues to win and if he doesn't then he stays retired.
FINALLY!!! Someone with some logic and sense! I agree with you 100%. The timing sucks really bad. I can also see him retiring for good due to lack of interest. I honestly think he'll come back and fight Cotto. At least that's what I want. If he retires in his prime thats cool too. Barry Sanders did and I was just as pissed off!

now, if you call him overrated, well, as a boxing fan, we got a problem right there. but name calling is just that, name calling.
J.M.M is my second favorite fighter after floyd today. He has never ducked anyone. He has no fear of any fighter, and has been ducked. Every last one of his losses whether you thought he lost or not were suspect. I picked against him against norwood, and came away with a respect for that man. I love the guy's style. Nobody can ever call a man who thought he won a cry baby. My favorite fighters today. No order: floyd, penalosa, calderon, hop, izzy, casamayor, williams, cotto and margs in case people have it twisted, abraham, pav, calzaghe, dawson, dlh, steve cunningham, sam peter and this is just off the top of my head.
