Edison Miranda: why so highly rated?

Miranda destroyed Banks and Gibbs BFD. He got shellacked and beaten to a pulp by Pavlik and he couldn't for 7 rounds knock down a guy with a broken jaw and damn near got DQ'ed for it because of his limited skills . He swung wildly at Green and was on his ass again in the 8th but finished up strong but looked sloppy as hell.
He's ok, but that awesome power gets old when you ain't getting it done in the later rounds and start clubbing and resorting to dirty tactics.
He's entertaining. He ain't a champComment

He is getting props for losing a fight. Sure there was controversey. Not by either fighter. Nobody was trying to keep AA undefeated. AA hit the man at will. When they show the replay, you will see miranda having a difficult time trying to hit AA even when AA backed up to protect his lead and his jaw.Who else at this level fought 4 times in less than 8 months against competition that held an amazing combined record of 94-1 with an 82% KO ratio?
Abraham
Gibbs
Green
Pavlik
OK, so he lost legitimately to one of these guys. And Pavlik happens to be the hottest talk in boxing right now, even people thinking he should be P4P top 3. The Abraham loss was controversal no question about it. If it wasnt, then why all the talk about it????
So, Miranda, has lost one controversal to the undefeated, 7 time defending world champion Arthur Abraham and one to the almighty Kelly Pavlik. Big deal!
And if he wins June 21st???? Then what are you doubters gonna say? He would have cleaned up his one questionable loss and only have a blemish on his record againt the guy many people think is a living legend. And Miranda wants nothing more then to revenge that loss too.Comment

The thing is, if miranda wins, i won't have a problem saying anything positive about him. He is a fighter, and deserves what he gets. Every fighter does.Miranda destroyed Banks and Gibbs BFD. A good post.....Fighters are also rated on their losses not just the wins , if your competing and loosing in top level you are still rated highly , Miranda is a very dangerous fighter for anyone and if you drop the class a little he flattens them , I think his rating is fair and his style guarantees a good fan base , I dont have a problem with Miranda at all , wants to fight the best and comes to fight .Comment

Big Dog Benny Henderson did an excellent interview with Marcus Rhode.
I admit I put him up to it and it turned out well.
One of the parts that was great was when Rhode was at a bar, and some dude was calling him 90 all night and he walked up to him and asked him why you callin me 90. Dude says yeah cause that's how long it took Morrison to knock you out. So Rhode says ok dude, I am gonna call you 365 because that's how many days you'd have to work to get paid what I got in 90 seconds....

When a doctor and the fighter both want to stop the fight then it is the job of the ref to stop the fight. I have never before seen a promoter in the stands demand to the ref that the fight must continue. And that fact that Neuman listened to him is downright shameful.Randy Neuwman made a critical mistake by interrupting their fight. He wanted to stop a fight where the fighter didn't want to stop fighting. If he did, he wouldn't have kept on fighting. I'm not concerned with Sauerlands history. If you have no proof of anything he did in the miranda-AA fight, why even uttter it???
The docter CLEARY tells Neuman to stop the fight and Neuman even CLEARY says "So that's the fight, right?". Neuman CLEARLY asks Abraham if he wants to fight and Abraham CLEARY says NO and shakes his head from side to side.
If you dont have a problem with this PROOF then you are worthless here on these boards. Even the biggest Abraham fans (Vanes, Googler) all say the fight should have been stopped in the 5th.Comment

The good thing about all that is, the score will be settled very soon and we won't have to hear about this anymore. When a doctor and the fighter both want to stop the fight then it is the job of the ref to stop the fight. This is a lie. Abraham did NOT want the fight stopped. His corner told him that if they stop the fight, he loses his title. You have been right so far, until this blatant lie. Why did they even let the fight go on?????...They asked Abraham also if he could continue too. Is Abraham lying in his interview also. When a doctor and the fighter both want to stop the fight then it is the job of the ref to stop the fight.
