Kostya was over rated , at the end of his career , came of shoulder surgery , talked about retirement a year earlier , was 36 with 1 fight in nearly 2 yrs .]

Dont make it bigger than it was ,,, its funny how people say Ricky has never been the same since , I say he has been the same all along and was at his physical and mental best with Floyd ,,, but how can he be the same after the great win beating the monster Tzsyu , read the first part again .

Glad he turned down Oscar who is too big and with Hattons style Oscar takes his head off .

Manny would be a good action packed fight .

I would love to see Pacquiao vs Hatton.

At first glance, Hatton is too big. on the other hand, Pacquiao is getting really huge for his weight classes, they probebly have te same reach, and Hatton is WIDE OPEN to left hands...Pacquiao's bread and butter. But the question is if Pacquiao can keep his power after moving up all that weight.

If Hatton starts grabbing, then its a waste of a fight. Otherwise, this would be a fantastic matchup to me.

      Although what about Marquez? haha...

it would be 140. Hatton wont be able to get down past that without some work, and Pacquiao already weighs more than 140 on fight night when he weighs in at 130. I think he would be overall undersized compared to Hatton, but still a legit 140lber

besides, if Pacquiao were to become a champ at 140...whew...that would be a hell of an accomplishment. he can really add to his legacy at that point.

Kinda suprising coming from an Austrailian. But, I will respond. Nobody said Tszyu was old or out of his prime before the Hatton fight. The shoulder injury or inactivity never came up until he was beaten. Everyone has a way to put a spin on things to discredit Ricky and I expect it now. And as for the Lazcano fight, any fighter deserves an off-night. Take Paul Williams for instance. A fighter is only as good as his last fight. Too bad it has to be that way, but I would bet on Hatton stopping Manny if they fought. People will then say, Hatton was too big for him. Well, I just looked at their physical stats and it turns out that Hatton and Pacman are the exact same height and Manny enjoys a reach advantage that wont be brought up after Hatton wins it. The topic will be weight, etc... Watch and see. I will save this post.

Stay at 140 ,, 2lbs at weigh-in would make no difference at all to the fight weight on the night , I feel Manny makes the weight class ok , the Diaz fight will tell a lot in regards to 140 and Manny .

reach doesnt mean anything when it comes to size. Otherwise, Sandy Saddler would be 'bigger
than Rocky Marciano. or Dwight Muhammed Qawi would be smaller than basically everyone he fought.

Tszyu isnt realyl overrated, but the guy was certainly not his best for the Hatton fight, everyone can agree on that. Also, Tsyzu had big problems with pressure fighters, he showed this throughout his career, namely against Vince Phillips and that one Mexican uhhh Hector Lopez I think? among other fights.
and Hatton is a pressure fighter.

and its not even like Hatton was beating Kostya's ass. he was only one round up when Kostya gave up, and had eaten a fair amount of shots throughout the fight.

Hatton is a nice guy and a good fighter, but he has a lot of weaknesses. namely, hes wide open to left hands. and this isnt a case of him having an off-night, hes shown this clearly throughout his career.

A COUPLE OF THINGS I disagree with.

                  > Kostya was throwing crisp punches and they were landing. Hatton could not be denied that night. Tyszu knew he was getting clearly beaten therefore he quit on his stool. If you were confused about what was going on , that is on you.
                  >Just because Hatton is a pressure fighter, did'nt give him some invisible advantage, he was just better. Period.
                  >The comment about reach not mattering was just clearly an opinion of a non-expert. Longer limbs equal to being able to carry more weight effectively. Manny has the physique to clearly be able to be a Jr. Welter.
                  >Hatton may be wide open to left hands, but it apparently has only mattered in 1 of his 44 fights. He must not be as limited as you think. Please do not take this as a knock on Manny. I believe him now to be the #1 P4P fighter in the world.

P.S. I'll bet all the points I have that Wladimir Klitschko beats Thompson within 8 rounds.

Where they come from doesnt make them better or worse that what they are , it never influences me , Im one of the least biased posters on the board .

The shoulder and inactivity was sure well known here , Soliman sparred with KT prior to leaving and KT was looking terrible , thats a fact .

When I say over rated , I mean in the context of ATG ,, he never fought any prime elite fighters , had no superfights , biggest win a KO over the very green Judah and the downers were Phillips and not ever wanting a rematch and quitting on his stool ,,, very good fighter yes , ATG no way .

I agree any fighter can have an off night but it seems to get used with Ricky quite a bit , Collazo , Urango and now you want to use Lazcano ,,,,, maybe just maybe Hatton is not as good as the hype suggests have you ever thought about that .
