HATTON vs PACMAN will legitamize Hattons Career!

If pacman and hatton get passed there tough tests in david diaz and pauli M then this match up is huge.

I think this match up if hatton demolishes pacman we have to give him credit...but if it was oscar vs pacman or hatton it would be a joke fight and make him lose credit.

think about it hatton and pacman are similar in height with pacman having 1 inch on him and a reach advantage....hatton is wider and weighs more though so advantage to hatton.

But its a more legit match up for hattons career because he will go agains the p4p king in boxing and the guy who has been in the top 5 for nearly 5 years strong! pacman has been ranked around the top 3 for a while now so this win would be a good win for Hatton to seal his legacy.

    what do you guys think?

People won't give Hatton much credit if he beats Pacquiao convincingly because they'd be saying how Pacquiao was too small and didn't belong at 140 in the first place.

His career is already legitimized anyway.

        that is 1 win?

I do not get it how come pacman can beat legends and he still has to do more?

hatton beats 1 old tired semi retired kostya and thats all he has to do?

        amazing.

I think this fight would help seal hatton as the best british fighter!he is fighting a p4p fighter and the new number 1...if pacman gets passed diaz of course then this fight should happen.

trust me if he beats pacman then it would do more for his career then if delahoya beat pacman...

dont you guys get it hatton and pacquiao are similar in size the advantage is hatton walks around at 190 pounds...while pacman walks around at 155.

this is what pisses me off you get a great match up like this and people already knocking it...just enjoy fights for crying out loud!

The difference is Pacquiao isn't a natural 140 pounder, Hatton is.

Even ESPN agrees with me! hatton needs a win over pacman to seal his deal for the hall!

                  Ricky Hatton

After a stellar 2005, Ricky Hatton, right, seemed destined for greatness. Since then, however, Hatton's legacy has taken a hit.
England's wildly popular "Hitman" looked like a lock for Canastota after his '05 campaign that included a beatdown of Kostya Tszyu, but his string of underwhelming performances since has "unlocked" him.

Hatton could use one more Hall of Fame-bound name like Tszyu on his record, and the best candidate close to his weight is Manny Pacquiao.

But Hatton, who appears to be flaming out at 29, could also clinch a spot with just a little more longevity. One more full year as undisputed junior welterweight champ, pushing his reign to four years, would be helpful. An upset loss to Paulie Malignaggi in November, on the other hand, could be devastating.
