Knowing that the source were danish news agencies and papers should lead someone to think that Enzo perhaps tried as best he could to make Kessler look good. As for why he said that Calzaghe was having trouble making 168 can mean 3 things:

1: Joe IS having trouble making weight
2: The danish interpreter has trouble understanding Enzo
    3: Something else.

And the fact that he does have trouble making 168 doesnt mean that he CANNOT. Most fighters have problems with the weight.

If you dont believe or dont want to speculate on a particular subject the choice is simple: Dont post.
Mate I wasn't even challenging you in particular, don't worry man, was more saying ppl generally have been saying a lot recently, I read this, and ppl are getting on their backs about where, link, proove it. Sometimes it's understandable, others it's an over reaction. Either way was just a tip, as I see ppl getting grief for not linking to backup what they've read, and they get real **** for it, that's all.

Now you raise some more points I'll be more specific however. IMDAZED I'm happy to agree with on this, Joe's always had difficulty making SMW weight, for over 11 years, it's no big news. Many ppl struggle to varying degree's to make weight, it's no major. So it sounds like it's been taken out of context firstly by the writer, secondly more so by yourself.

Reason being, you've speculated a lot to go on to say he might not be able to fight Pavlik at SMW. That's almost unheard of, he can make SMW and Arum is in talks with Franks Warren as to a fight, no problem. Most know this. So it's no surprise the reaction to some extent, he can make SMW, so your speculation is more than that, it's almost wishful thinking based on a loosely true article. Even IF he couldn't make SMW (which he can) it's also widely known all over the net and on the forums, the 3rd option is probably Tarver, even Calzaghe's site said this. Tarver has belts and is arguably better than Dawson in the LHW division, he's the 3rd options. So to jump again to Dawson, just seems odd, like it's what you want to happen, not what's even remotely likely. That stirs a reaction from ppl, as most know the facts, what's likely, so to see such comments intrigues them into questioning.

I've been reading several reports stating that Joe Calzaghe will have great difficulty getting back down to 168 lbs. If he cannot a fight with Kelly Pavlik is out of the question.
Again you've assumed Dawson is the 2nd best in the LHW division, what's all that about, just seems odd. Your kinda putting off loosely true exaggerated articles, and taking them a step further to say, he could fight who I consider to be # 1/2 at LHW in Dawson, as if it's kinda almost fact. Bernard and Tarver are both above Dawson in the LHW ranks. Most know Hopkins rematch is out of the question, and Tarver is 3rd in line, after firstly RJJ, 2ndly Pavlik.

So it's just a bit puzzling dude that's all, much respect. Calzaghe can and will meet SMW weight if they sign a fight with Pavlik, Pavlik and Calzaghe both said they can both make weight, promoters said talks went well, it could be made. This is all well known.

Calzaghe was interviewed by Setanta when they were at his dads gym covering Locketts training for the Pavlik fight a couple of weeks ago.

Pavlik was the name he mensioned and 168 was the weight he mensioned.

Also, Frank Warren and Bob Arum have held further talks this week about the fight.

That fight at 168 is pretty much a lock IMO.

If Joe's last fight should be at 175 and Roy Jones jr. likely has priced himself out of the Calzaghe sweepstakes I'm speculating that a likely last hurrah for Calzaghe could be a unification showdown with Chad Dawson.

Who do you think would win this match-up?
I've got Joe winning a close one. I don't know about the weight thing as he came in several pounds under the lhw limit at the weigh in

He's always had trouble getting to 168, putting on the extre muscle to make 175 will proberbly have made it even harder.

Dawson could probably get the nod in a few years but Joe is just too experienced and cagey for him at the moment. Joe by UD.

****! accidently voted Dawson by decision. Make that Calzaghe by decision. Take one from Dawson and add to Calzaghe.

A Dawson vs Calzaghe matchup seems highly unlikely. For one Dawson has to face mandatory/interim winner Adrain Diaconu first. If Dawson beats him, he will most likely give Glen Johnson a deserving rematch. From what I heard Dawson is unofficially scheduled for two matches. By the time Dawson finishes his two opponents Calzaghe will have retired or be fighting other lucrative opponents. Remember Calzaghe DOES NOT need Dawson at all, but Dawson needs Calzaghe, and thats why I think this fight will not happen. Oh and the Diaconu vs Dawson matchup will be announced tomorrow.

I took the independent rankings from *********.
                      1: Calzaghe
                      2: Hopkins
                      3: Dawson
                      4: Erdei
                      5: Tarver

The best available LHW is Dawson.
