It woulda been cool if Floyd had secured a fight with Tszyu in 2004

Yeah, if only Cotto and Margarito were as good as Hearns and Leonard, then Floyd would've fought them. Uh huh. Sure.

also, instead of hating on floyd mayweather jr., you guys should be respecting and loving him, BECAUSE HE ALMOST BROUGHT BOXING BACK TO THE FRONT PAGES LIKE IT USED TO BE. neither cotto nor margarito are doing that. yes. they are good fighters no doubt. BUT, are the putting boxing back on the front pages? maybe in mexico or puerto rico... but not globally.

floyd mayweather jr. is a legend. NO DOUBT.
I agree with what you're saying about putting boxing back on the front pages, but why not fight oscar again? If anything, he should've retired after that fight. Now it makes it seem as if he's cowering out of that fight.

My thoughts exactly. Why couldn't he have made those fights? He can't blame that on Bob Arum.

Bob got Oscar all the big fights and Oscar jumped at them: Chavez - twice, Whitaker, Quartey, Tito, Mosley - twice...... All before he was 30.

Look at Floyd now, 30 something years old and never fought a career defining fight. ****in' chump.

The welter Division is the deepest Division today

If Floyd had fought Cotto, Margarito and Mosely (which is possible to do all in one year if he starts in January maybe just over a year)
Then those would've been his Defining fights, hell if he hadd just fought Cotto it would've defined his career for me.

Ali had Frazier, Foreman, Sonny Liston, etc.

                  Robinson had LaMotta, Fulmer, Basilio..etc.

Floyd...wheteher you want to believe it or not had Castillo and Corralles..two guys he beat.

Floyds toughest challenges were Zu and Mosley in their prime and neither wanted anything to do with Floyd at the time.

So Floyd sees how big a star Oscar is and envies it...dreaming of a fight with him....Thats why Floyd moved up in weight in the first place to get Oscar.

Now at a weight class where he doesnt even belong his ONLY challenge is a young Miguel Cotto who is not even close to being a great......

                  Margarito???....didnt Wililams just beat him.

The point is that Maywetaher suffers from being the best in a weak boxing era....

                  Enjoy retiremnet Floyd...you deserve it.
I agree. It's funny how people only started to go after Floyd when he turned 30+. That's funny as hell to me. I think Floyd retiring is a slap on the face of the fake boxing fans who swarm this forums.

PBF has more work to do before he becomes great. If he gives a **** about his legacy this whole retirement thing is just a ruse.

This isn't the floyd mayweather true fans remember. Non risk taker and forced? Who was he forced to fight? You took a risk thinking we wouldn't answer this post. I don't know why you would even post that lunacy.
