I doubt he goes and fights in MMA. Because first of all they would have to pay him ten times as much if not more than the highest paid guy right now. Plus it would take him years to understand the ground game needed to compete at a high level. Maybe some kind of promotional thing, but I doubt actual fighting.Comment

This is ridiculous. Theres no way Floyd is going to MMA. He'll be back boxing soon enough.
His defense would be about 1,000,000,000x better.Comment

you know how every guy says the ufc guys have no skill...... how much would it be worth to the ufc for one of their fighters to beat the p4p #1 in boxing?
just playing devil's advocate. but if floyd is really interested how can the ufc not cough up the money? even if it's more than what the fight will make the promotion for mma and ufc would be enormous. don't just think u.s. market either. pride and the other japanese mma orgs paid tons of money to see their mma fighters fight olympic wrestlers (rulon gardner) , sumo wrestlers (akebono) , olympic judokas (yoshida) , boxers (mercer) etc.Comment

It takes alot of training to get where guys like BJ Penn, Fedor Emelianenko, Anderson Silva, Minotauro Noguiera are at, Floyd may have good hands but a traditional boxing stance is almost a hinderence in mma. Standing the way he does he'll get taken down almost at will. Not to mention what happens if floyd gets caught in the clinch and takes those grueling knees to the body. The first time he takes a leg kick will shock the hell out of him, or what does he do when he finds himself on his back, lets face mma is just a completely different world. Why be mediocre at mma, why not stay in boxing and get huge paydays and finish out your career as one of the best of all time?Comment
