juan marquez got paid $35,000 for the john fight i think? or was it $70,000?

he was still the 126 king after the draw with manny wasn't he?

yes the superstars make way more. but average boxers make about the same as average mma fighters. b.j. penn gets paid about a million a fight. about the same as tua when he was the #1 contender.

if b.j penn submits floyd what does it do to the boxing vs. mma argument?

just throwing it out there. i don't think the ufc can afford floyd without paying him much more than the fight would generate. but we all thought the wwe rumors were bogus too until floyd signed didn't we?

me personally i'd pay $$$$$$$$$$ to see b.j. penn choke floyds ass out!!!
I don't even think they can pay Mayweather as much as the WWE paid him.

I mean Mayweather stands to make about $20 million dollars against DLH, only a few UFC fighters make 6 figures per fight.

That’s the thing. MMA is growing Mayweather becomes a decent fighter and becomes a promoter. He is a smart man why fight against MMA when you can join forces and become richer in the long term.

You realize all the MMA guy will do if stand back and do leg kicks then shoot on the first sense of vulnerability. A boxer doesnt last in MMA without extensive training.

In boxing skills, yes, but what about his ground game? Hes not even a novice. He'd get worked by any top flight college wrestler right now.

he is 10x more talented and in a striking match he would dominate.

but can floyd wrestle? does he know how to defend an armbar? heelhook? achilles hold? can opener? keylock? kimura?

i don't think floyd even knows what an americana is let alone defend against it.

it's not gonna happen floyd knows he doesn't know anything about groundfighting. this is a ploy to get a better deal with oscar. simple as that.
