The November date was perfect for Margarito. It's pretty obvious that Baldomir was the last person Floyd had in mind when it came to that date. But when all else fell through - and the only other option was Tony - he went for Baldomir.

In the end, works out for the fans. We got to see Margarito-Clottey, Margarito-Williams and now Margarito-Cotto.

I think that's because the only topics that get discussed on these boards are Calzaghe & the UK, Mayweather and the welterweights.

Anthony Dirrell blows out Anthony Hanshaw in an under the radar, yet important bout and I saw 15 replies...

It's better Mayweather fought Hatton anyway because then Cotto wouldn't be where he's at today, Mayweather would have fought "another old guy", and Mayweather/Cotto gave us both great fights against the other guy.
shane was on sports shows calling Floyd a chicken for not wanting to fight him after the DLH fight. he was even on The Best Damn Sports Show talking greasy.

A lot of these guys are fans of just a certain fighter, not necessarily the sport. Over the course of time, they may learn more about other fighters and the nuances of boxing. But there idea of what other fighters are really like are skewed because they can't take the rose-colored glasses off when discussing their favorite fighter.

            What a world.

Yeah that was AFTER Mayweather fought Dela hoya, Pre-oscar he didnt give Mayweather the chance to fight him. He alway had an excuse not to.

I hardly find genuine boxing fans on here, Most of them are now fanboys..

Yeah he made a little buzz here and there, but his talk really never started to pick up when Hatton and Mayweather were in the works.

That's the only thing I don't like about Shane. He has the wonderful oppurtuinty of doing all this ****, but he wastes it. Mayweather wanted to fight him...he said no. He could have easily gotten a Cotto rematch, but he waits like 6 months after it to ask for one. **** you could even argue that it was ****** not taking on DLH again insted of facing Winky (though I'm glad he fougth Winky).

Come on, you don't seriously think Mosley was ducking him? There was a lot behind the scenes. And someone here pointed it out.

Look, this is Shane Mosley. The guy who leaped two divisions and fought a prime Oscar. The guy who fought WINKY WRIGHT when he had no business doing so. And then an immediate rematch. The guy who had an immediate rematch with Vernon Forrest after he got his ass beat from pillar to post.

                    Nah man...
