Corrales not having the slightest idea how to fight tall is what happened.

Floyd toyed with him. A total outclassing.

I have to say this is a great thread with a genuine question but how many fighters can we call great in around PBF's weight class at the moment?

When you read for the 900th time that Oscar is not bigger than Mayweather because they both started at 130, you are bound to get nervous. The combination of ignorance and sheer lack of logical thought is disheartening.

Thank you, I wonder when people talk or write post in if they ever think beforehand. Right now i cannot even call anyone great apart from PBF. Who are the elites? someone like RJJ or James toney but who are the elites around Mayweather's weight in the last 6 years? I seriously cant name any.

There is plenty of boxers with a lot of natural talent, but when it comes to skills, there is a WIDE gap between Mayweather and whatever prime fighter follows.

Everyone with that level of skills (Toney, Hopkins, Casamayor, Calderon) is older than Mayweather, this is very sad for the future of the sport. When the egomaniac prick retires it is NOT going to be a great day of boxing, despite what a lot of people claim.

What will happen is the nostalgia factor. The mayweather lovefest would begin, and the same individuals who hated him when he was here, would proclaim how great he was, ALA pernell whitaker. all these idiots who love "warriors" but hate mayweather, ****ride whitaker every chance they get, but deride mayweather at the same time, proclaiming that "whitaker always fought the best" when whitaker was just as arrogant, just as hated and talked as much **** as anyone, and in the ring, he was far less professional than pbf, i used to love it.

Whitaker is my all time favorite.

I think that's why Gamboa is pressed as the next great thing. Boxing is looking for that next star, but I'm not sure Gamboa is it. I hope Pavlik can fill that role someday.
