your right, you have to really watch him carefully, study him and you will understand his greatness. But unfortanetly some of the people on the forum here dont have the patciene or brains to do so

Its pretty hard to find full fights of his and I've only seen a few mainly highlight reels, which are basically that and give a biased view, If anyone has any fights on their comp or know links online it would be greatly appreciated.

Why is Sugar Ray deemed the greatest... was it because of his actual fighting ability... or his record? both?

Could he really beat every fighter ever pound for pound?

im not insinuating a single thing, for anyone who thinks i am, im honestly asking the question... maybe he could.. im not an expert on the guy...

whats your opinion on why hes the concensus best fighter ever...
He being called the greatest is just a well respected opinion. He was beatable just like any other fighter of yesteryear and every fighter today. I give him credit for fighting anyone and beating them and also fighting a lot. There are still a couple other I can think of that deserved that distinction more.

No fighter is unfathomable, they all have weaknesses and they all have an opponent that has their number. I find people put too much weight on this ranking of P4P and ATG status. I rank him among the all time greats, but I refuse to rank anyone the best ever.
