If ruiz had to cut weight, he could do 210 very easily, no? not like he was super ripped at 220-225

I think Mayweather might weigh in mid 150's by 2009. Right now I defintely dont think so.
i just remember 193 from ring magazine article when they talked about how roy could fight the smaller heavies after ruiz like byrd , tyson or holyfield. 'cause they were comparing byrd at 210 and jones at 193.

that said i wasn't trying to misrepresent facts i was going off of my head.

as far as john even in his younger days he wasn't ripped. some guys are just not built that way. when i was doing time i'd do sets of a hundred pushups all day long and crunches 'til i got dizzy and i could never get ripped. i just got stronger but never ripped. then some guys will come in do 100 situps and they'll have a six pack at the end of the week! ruiz was horrible to watch because of the grabbing but he had some good skills. the guy beat holyfield , rahman , mccline , oquendo , golota , kirk...... that's better wins that wlad for god sakes!

it was like a 4 page back and forth slapfest LOL

      good stuff
      Jesus... good times

LOL... Just today I saw someone claiming Mayweather was not bigger than Hatton. Then someone answered well then Hatton is also bigger than Oscar and I answered way too harshly. Wish I could there were more people like you to argue with.

Good stuff we (you live dog left hook tua and me) are around at this time today. I am having fun, but I gotta go soon

hope my reply did not sound harsh, because it was not meant to be

I soooo agree on the bold. People **** on Ruiz all the time, but he was effective and a smart fighter, sure he was boring and limited, but he did what he have to do. I wonder what would have happened if your nickname () didnt change his style of fighting back in 96

The most interesting thing about Ruiz was his trainer, though his name escapes me.

HAHAHA, Roy never looked as good? That is ludacrist. he Blew away most fighters to a point to where it was not even a fight many times just like the Gatti fight. In fact he did that to fighters who are way more skilled than Gatti. If you take a look at the Gatti-Gomez fight, you will understand what i mean. Please dont reply. It would be pointless. Roy is better in 7 of the 10 aspects. lets see if Floyd becomes 50-0 before he loses. He has 11 more fights against the best in or around his division to do it against. Do you think it will happen? Hell no. Floyd is amazing, especially defensively. But a Roy Jones Jr. , he will never be.
