why i think Cotto loses to Margarito

I somewhat agree. First, I think Cotto can stand and "trade" with Margarito, but it would be ill advised. First, Cotto is a more precise puncher; Margarito sometimes punches too wide. However, Cotto has been affected before by the uppercut (see Judah) and Margarito has a killer uppercut.

I'm not betting on this fight because of Margarito's toughness. This is the toughest fairly talented WW in the division (and I say that because I don't consider Baldomir talented at all). He can pull off a victory with his chin and stamina. It appears he has better stamina than Cotto, but it's not a 10 to 5 advantage for Margarito; more like a 9.5 to 8.

If Cotto can stand Margarito's power without going to the floor, his weak chin talk should cease (at least at 147). I don't know if he can withstand the pressure.

Mosley, to me, is not an old shot fighter. In fact, I see him beating almost anyone in this talented division, with the exception of Cotto and an "on the bike" Mayweather. Mosley would kill Cintrón, Collazo (already did that), and is intelligent enough to box the ears off Margarito. Shame we couldn't see him against Judah.

I hope Cotto wins, but I'm not betting on this one. If he wins and Mayweather keeps ducking him, I hope he beats Cintrón and makes him weep.

good post , when i say Mosley is shot what i mean is his reflexes are shot pretty much the same thing we saw with Dela Hoya against Forbes he was hit with punches he would not have been caught with in the past ,there were times when Cotto would land flush against Mosley and then Cotto would slide off to the side before Mosley even had time to react ,i think Shane still has enough left to beat some of the other WW and win a title but i do think he has lost a step due to age ,its a complement to how good shane was though that he made the Cotto fight as close as it was and he is stll capable of beating some of the other top ww out there ,infact u could make a strong case that Mosley in his prime would /could have beaten Cotto

Glad to see some objectivity in this post. As I've said before, I'm a fan of both guys and hate to see either lose, but I've always felt Tony would win the fight. He knows he can't win a boxing match wit him, so he'll force a war on Cotto. That means hit and be hit over and over until 1 man is left standin. It's a dangerous game plan but one he can get away wit cuz he's bigger than Cotto, has a higher workrate, more endurance, and a superior chin. I don't see him dominatin one sidedly, and it's definitely a winnable fight for Cotto too, at least by points. But I just don't think Tony's gonna be denied on this one. Can't wait to see the fight. We'll have a real WW champion come July 26.
