Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto: The Fans Sound Off

A few days ago I posted a news brief that featured comments from Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, explaining their postion on staging a rematch with Oscar De La Hoya instead of trying to make a unification bout with undefeated WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto. This isn't news to me. I see the same types of comments every day here. Cotto vs. Mayweather needs to happen.

The first email you have posted, by Ken Reed, is inaccurate. He says that SRR fought all comers, when actually SRR was known for ducking numerous fighters in his day.

I don't know how many he fought. All I'm saying is that there were fighters out there that SRR chose not to fight for business reasons.

People don't understand that hatin on Floyd is still caring about him cuz he's gettin attention, even if it's negative attention. To hell wit him. We got Cotto v Tony comin soon. Let PBF do or say what the **** he wants. Who cares at this point? We as fans don't need his ass.
