You mean like Jake Lamotta, a guy who was ducked and passed over for a middleweight title shot for years, whom Robinson fought six times?

Or Gene Fullmer or Carmen Basilio, younger, stronger guys who Robinson fought multiple times?

When did I say any of that? Sure Robinson fought great competition, but he also ducked fighters, the most famous of which was Charley Burley. SRR himself even said that Burley had the syle to beat him.

So you believe what you want, I believe SRR in his own words.

Fought Zivic in non title about, Zivic's manager buys his contract. Zivic becomes champ, Burley never gets a title shot.

Beat Archie Moore badly, fought most of Murderers' Row with favorable splits of fights (although they were all bigger than him, who always fought between 47 and 60). Only man who “owned“ him was Ezzard Charles (you probably know the best 75er ever and HW champion of the world).

Robinson was quoted as saying ”I am too pretty to fight Charley Burley“

No other welter-middle in that era had that kind of record, but no one gave him a shot . go see cyberboxingzone they have a good article and there is a website dedicated to him.

There is a video of him on youtube, very interesting style for the era, you will see some Roy Jonesque moves with more solid fundamentals accompanying them.

Cut the crap for a while, and learn about a wonderful fighter.
