Why is Pavlik so good?

He hits hard, he ain't afraid to get hit hard, and he's got a chin that can take bein hit hard. He always moves forward and forces a tough pace. Pavlik is a fun fighter to watch.

Without technique, those fights shouldn't have been close at all. He should have clearly lost all of them, he didn't.

I have seen it and it was a close fight. The fact that you had one fighter clearly ahead in that fight leads me to believe that you haven't seen it.

BTW, sanctioning bodies don't normally review fights that are one-sided.

the expression of "no technique" does not mean he has actually no technique.......even a bum has technique..........i mean taylor does not get leverage on any of his shots........he's an arm puncher, and a winger at times.........he tires himself out..............................

While Taylor may not be a great 1 punch knockout artist, he gets good power and snap on his punches.

He does have a tendency to wing his right hand so that his opponents see it coming though.

We will see when Miranda and Abraham fight on the 21st. When Abraham beats people like Taylor back to back then comes in and beats Pavlik ill say Abrahams better. Since none of that happened yet the argument is crap because its just usa vs. euro again. Pavliks going to fight Calzaghe when hes done with Lockett. Hopefully you wont decide that abraham is better then Calzaghe and Pavlik if they fight and Pavlik wins.

He's one of those limited fighters that is super hard to take out. Taylor should have finished him in the first fight and I felt outboxed Pavlik in the rematch. I could see a focused, in shape Tarver taking Pavlik out and Calzaghe outpointing him. I just don't think much of the guy.

They reviewed it for many reasons, including the low blow in the 11th that clearly landed on the belt line.
