    Why is Pavlik so good?

I love the guy, but I have no idea how he is champ. Maybe that is why I like the guy so much. I mean what is all that special about two jabs and a right? I admit that I've only seen his last 4 fights so maybe I am missing something, but I doubt it. Enlighten me.

Forget that, he's tough as nails, heavy puncher, and has an unshakable will. The guy will fight through a hailstorm of punches to land his own and doesn't give up. He's got the hardworking town of Youngstown behind him and he's breed there like everyone works. Tough and humble.

So far, Kelly's career is basically built on physical strength, good stamina and a decent chin.

He beat both Miranda and Taylor simply because he was bigger and stronger than they were, could outwork them and break them down.

        See also Margarito and Cotto.

He's not the most versatile of fighters but what he does, he does very well.

He comes forward and applies pressure, wears his opponents down with his high workrate and he has very good power.

I would definitely like to see him improve his arsenal though.

Well, he fights prime fighters and wins convincingly (cept in his last which was close). He is young and has huge power. On the top of that he's a white guy who fights top competition and wins, he has a good sense of humor and if you can guess he would be a star anyway, with all these characteristics it makes him really elite right now. I like him too and i'm not white btw.

                  I et his meaning. ^^^

Taylor had looked poor against Winky, Stinx and Ouma leading up to the Pavlik fight.

                  It was on the cards.

I'll reserve judgment on Pavlik untill he faces a fighter like Hopkins or Calzaghe.

he does the simple things really wel i think his height and frame help him as well, his long reach and jab are two of his biggest weapons. not that thir exceptional or special he just uses them very well, with good strong technique.

his good workrate and strong chin are good as well but wev't yet to see how his endurance is when someone goes to the body. skill wise he can only improve, i mean hes no calzaghe or mayweather but his other attributes pull him through.

he should really try and improve his other boxing skills if he does he could prove to be an awesome middleweight.
