I haven't read the threads with the Kimbo hate but I am a Kimbo fan since his youtube days, and I think it may be because he has recieved so much hype and in his last fight he looked very beatable against a guy who was supposed to be a showcase opponent, no doubt about it.

People who are over-hyped are at the same time the most hated. And Kimbo is fun to watch but he hadn't and still hasn't fought anyone with any sort of credibility in MMA, making his hype seem illogical.

No one really hates Kimbo. Kimbo is a good rookie. What everyone hates is the overhype Gary Shaw is putting on this guy. Shaw put a padder match over a title fight. A damn good title fight at that. Shaw is making the casual believe that a rookie with no ground skill is elite.

Hes beating up cripples, yeah, and? ITs his 3rd or 4th professional fight... who exactly does every professional boxer fight in there first 3, 4 or 20 fights..? cripples and bums maybe??

And is he getting paid 6 figures? yeah sure, but hell never have the chance to make the millions the guys do in boxing... unless he picks up some sponsors... so i really dont see what the big deal is.

Hes definitely not PROVEN, we dont know how good he is until he steps up his competition... Maybe hell fight some REAL guys in the future, and he guts it out and knocks out someone big, maybe he gets knocked out... u dont just throw a potential future superstar right into the lions den... you get him prepared... which is why Andre Berto is doing so well...

But some guys like to compare him to mike tyson and all that... get the hell outta here with that.
