Absolutely, but I have never heard an mma fan who wasn't trolling claim otherwise.

it just depends on people's point of view.

if you're into judo , jiu-jitsu , wrestling , etc. you'll think there's a lot of skill involved in mma.

if you're not then you think it's silly for them to be grabbing and laying on the ground.

we in america think soccer is boring but the world thinks otherwise.

it just depends on people's taste. my dad didn't grow up in the u.s. and he thinks soccer is great. when he sees me watch football on tv he just doesn't get it. he's like , "****** sport" , "they're just pushing each other back and forth"

well to be fair mma does incorporate boxing into it. i guarantee every mma fighter trains in boxing. they just don't do it as technically proficient and eye pleasing as boxers do.

remember the majority of mma fighters are wrestlers or jiu-jitsu guys. boxers (good ones anyway) don't get into mma because money talks and there's more money to be made in boxing.

come on how many crap boxers out there? and those guys trained in it their whole life! these guys are just trying to learn boxing they spent most of their lives training jiu-jitsu for the mundials or wrestling in the ncaa.

In boxing, if you fall down, you have 10 seconds to stand your ass back up and fight! In boxing their is no clenching, grappling or holding, only fighting, you dont get the luxury of being able to hold on for dear life when you get tired. If you do get tired, the only thing you can do is keep fighting! And that ladies and gentlemen is what fighting is!
