A true champion fights for pride anyway, not money.

How does it feel to defacate your reputation defending a money whoring fraud?

Guess Sugar Ray Robinson wasn't a true champion then.

        Right, Cotto a nobody...
Beating Carlos Quintana, Paul Malignaggi and Ricardo Torres all of which were undefeated at the time, that makes you a nobody right?!
A nobody is what Zab is right now! He can only WISH to be in Cotto's shoes!

Hatton sold out a 56,000 seater stadium in a couple of hours of the tickets being on sell.

Hatton brought over 30,000 fans over to vegas for the Mayweather fight.

All that = Money for his opponents, and lots of it.

Hatton isn't just a bigger draw then Cotto, he's one of the biggest draws in world boxing period!

            Are you serious?

When was Zab on PPV before the Mayweather bout?

Mayweather already had PPV experience at that point, so that was the reason Judah got on his first PPV.

Cotto is the new star in boxing, so they wanted to start him on the PPV path (much like they tried to do with Kelly Pavlik when he fought Taylor in a rematch).

By the way... I made this thead not to take sides, but really, to try to figure out who is the better draw. I hear some people say that Margarito is not a draw because he can't do PPV for ****, but then people say that Cotto's PPV numbers don't mean **** because Hatton can put asses in seats.

Even so, this whole draw business still doesn't change my perspective on Mayweather-Cotto. If Floyd wants money, he can do his thing... he just shouldn't get pissed when people like me or others talk about his legacy going to hell... because face it, if you are fighting for money first and foremost, you aren't going to be taking the best legacy fights.

Yes, I'm serious. Having Don King as your promoter as one of the biggest fighter in New York means he can always sell big ppv numbers. Cotto can't sell or promote a fight cos hes a boring ****. Zab us a bigger draw than Cotto even. Cotto can't sell for ****.

Wasn't the majority of the crowd in MSG cheering for Cotto that night?

You may want to consider who the bigger draw in NYC is... considering Cotto always picks the eve of the Puerto Rican parade.

My fault, I was talking about US.

I'm not an expert on the economics of things, but I would think it would be hard for an American fighter to get a share of UK PPV buys... is that true, or am I mistaken?

His numbers on his own against a more popular Shane were poor and Gomez did **** numbers. Goes to prove he only did decent with Zab. Zab always has had good numbers for a reason.
