Ray Robinson was all about money WTF you on about , he was a promoters nightmare sometimes on fight night refusing to fight unless he was paid more , also he made them on fight night pull down and then put up a larger ring because he wouldnt fight in a small one , your full of **** mate Sugar Ray was a wife basher very arrogant and promoters never liked him , he was very proud that he had enough money to buy a city block and bragged about it , drove Cadillacs had an entourage of 20 or more people from shoeshine boys to back slappers .
Watch the doco called " Bright lights Dark Shadows " and learn what Sugar Ray was really like .

His numbers of fights over his career was made up mostly of bums , many had as many losses as they had wins some had more , if you took away the bull**** contests which were a weekly circus show fighting nobodys and wrote down just the real meaningful fights in Rays career you have a career much like Floyds except in higher divisions as Ray was nearly 6ft and over all bigger than Floyd in all departments .

Im not knocking Robinson as he was a great fighter but when people start talking out their ass it gets a bit hard to take , a fighter could not have over 150 fights without the majority being nothing fights against nothing opponents , Ray had about 40 real fights over all which is about average for top fighters , how many Gomez's could Cotto fight and how often , Floyd could fight and beat Gatti's once a mth for years , how many Margos can Cotto fight in a year , I will tell you 1 or 2 ,,,, boxing is about classes and when a fight is a war in top class or a gimme against a dud , its all relative when looking at the big picture of career .

WOW! I know I didn't read that. Did he really dare to talk **** about Robinson? First of all you uneducated moron, Robinson fought 200 times, when you only fought 39 times. He was fighting from 120+ to as high as 170(give or take). Would you fight pavlik? He would. When you ARE CONSIDERED BY SOME THE BEST, AND WHEN YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF THE BEST, YOU HAVE TO FIGHT THE BEST specially in your weight class. You are an embarrassment to the sport. I can't honestly believe how some people consider you the best or even dare to follow you, or even dare to give you any little bit of undeserving respect.

Another thing, if you think you have such a high fanbase well you shouldn't be worried to much about cotto's 'cause you by yourself would fill in the seats...

Cotto will get his chance when there's no more "bigger" fights to be made than him. Had Cotto been more impressive, he would have had a shot by now. Fact is, he's a very good fighter, just not a very exciting one. He compares nothing to Trinidad in appeal.

No, no, no! Man, this is the big problem with too many Mayweather fans. It's not 'He's the most skilled, therefore he's the best', because that is just not how things work.

Skills are different to winning a fight against the best fighters. The adage 'To be the best, you have to beat the best' rings all too true in boxing because so many times in the past a skillful fighter hasn't been beaten by a less skilled but more determined fighter.

Go check out the first Jeff Harding vs Dennis Andries fight. An unknown guy who had never fought anyone got a shot at the title at short notice because the title challenger got injured. This guy came out and got pounded for a bit but due to his grit and determination came back and knocked him out in the last round. Now, Andries was a much more skilled fighter. Does that mean he was better?

It is never 'He's the most skilled, therefore he's the best'. It is only 'He's the best because he's beaten the best champs and challengers'. That is how boxing works. History has shown time and time again that the most skilled boxers can lose to a less skilled fighter. Until Mayweather beats all the WW challengers or champs you cannot call him undoubtedly the best. You don't know. If he fights all the challengers you would, but, until then it is impossible to say. That is the difference between most great champs in the past to now. They fought every single challenger and champ there was and so you knew there was no dis*****g who the best fighter was.

Grab the ten best fighters in the world.

And point to the best one.

Your finger wil be aimed at Mayweather.

                  Simple.
