    plotting his own downfall......

mr"money" talks about the great ray robinson like he was nothing with the losses on his record, does floyd know how many fights ray robinson had?
QUESTION: floyd, how would you respond to a defeat?
A: like ray did? B: or run away like some has been ***** like nasseem hamed?
ANSWER: probably the latter as the respect and lack of proffesionalism in the sport that you continue to diss and use as a means to become a rich *****!
just like my countryman hamed, whats down the line ? prison?
walkin around like mr fkin invincible just makes people go off him.
ive watched p.b.f since he beat manfredy and even then i thought the money that is coming will go to his head.
hes turned into a right wanker, a master of defence, good speed but thats it.
ray robinson had it all and did it as floyds sayin about himself " without thinking".
outside the ring he conducted himself with grace and respect to all man.

i do put floyd in the top twenty of all time but not the best, LOOOONG WAY OFF YET.
let us not be convinced that 39/0 means the greatest!
when he gets to 50/60 and 0 maybe.....further up the list depending on who hes fighting and at what weight catagory.

ok, heres my pick on who will lick floyd.
firstly and its his mandatory defence: andre berto....yeah i think he would.
paul williams has a chance, cotto also has the brute force to bully him for real.
r.h plz dont ricky. o.d.l.h. possibly in the return but oscar needs to be swinging the whole time and keep throwing.

heres my outsider...........edwin valero to knock him out in the first round!!!!
    ya never know.......

You misunderstood the point I was making.

Take yourself as an example, you are a Mayweather fan. Even you can accept he is out of order, yet some of his fans who know nothing of boxing will try to defend this.

        That was my point.

Why fight a younger stronger fighter for less money in cotto, instead box de la hoya and get double the money. If it don't make dollars it don't make sense.

It's normal and like I said, I'm ok with it. DLH is the biggest cash cow and he will not fight 4ever. So he fights him again to make money. After that he won't retire because I think, that he thinks he is still good enough to box and make some money. He has to find a new opponnent. Hatton IMO will loose to Malignaggi so this is out the window as well. Cotto just has to beat Margarito which should be a thrilling fight and 2009 will be Cotto vs. Mayweather.

Today it's all about the money. And I don't think he does it to piss ppl off. He does whats best for him. I mean ppl will never respect him because of his attitude. It doesn't matter who he beats ppl will always find a way to discredit him, so why he shouldn't fight DLH. If he beats Cotto, which IMO is going to happen because again it doesn't matter if you more powerful and and and Cotto has not the foot speed to get close to Mayweather you ppl again will not give him credit. So he will fight Cotto when it's best for him.

It's easy to be a fan of his if you have an understanding of boxing. Floyd is a professional which in these days is rarely. He prepares for every fight very hard. He never came close to loosing. I think that his conduct as professional is unbelievable. He has the skills to maybe even overlook ppl but he never does. And that alone should show you how much respect he has for his opponents. There are so many great boxers who overlooked there opponents because their was a bigger fight ahead of him. And his skills are great. I appreciate his fights. Is he the most thrilling fighter probably not. But he has the knowledge, he understands rhytyms of fighters and and and. His defence is very good too. I understand that your ppl are dissapointed because there was nobody who really challenged him but that's not his fault. Look at the ppl he fought who would go on become champions or had been champions. It's the same with Roy Jones.

Some ppl are simply that damn good that they make real good boxers look ordinary. Floyd is very special. Because he is not only a great athlete. He's a boxer. That's his game. Roy Jones was a one of a kind athlete, but he never mstered boxing. Floyd has athletics and the boxing skill, that's the reason why I always rank him very high all time. Because he could hang in their with everyone. Would he beat everyone I don't know, but he would have a chance of winning against everyone IMO

***Disclaimer, this is not a hate post on Floyd's "money" so you emotional Floyd stans, fall the **** back***

all of you guys defending and calling Floyd the best fighter in the sport right now, ask yourselves, "who am I a fan of?"

Floyd just admitted that he doesn't feel the need to keep proving he is the best so he will be going to fight for fame and money more than the challenges the sport brings. Fame and money don't necessarily mean that he will be fighting the best opposition. He said it himself, he just wants to entertain and become famous. So no longer is he a boxing champion, he is a showbusiness entertainer.

So at this point, what are you a fan of? Are you a fan of the entertainer? Because he is no longer, by his own admittance, a boxer in a competitive sport, but now someone a long the lines of Celine Dionne, a wrestler from WWE, and Britney Spears: an entertainer.

So at this point, what are you a fan of?

Boxing or Floyd Mayweather, the entertainer? oh and by the way, Floyd is far from an A-lister. He has to create scandals just to get attention to himself. Calling out Reggie Bush for boning Kim Kardishian? He might as well put out a sex tape (which im sure a couple of people on this forum would go ape **** over). The sad part is, Floyd still wouldn't be able to get into some of the same places Paris Hilton gets in.

the funnier part of this is that Floyd fans cannot STAND when any of Floyd's competition gets any kind of attention. He we are on the verge of one of the most anticipated fights between Cotto and Margarito and we have threads from Floyd fans discrediting each fighter and discrediting a win from each fighter. Go into any Margarito and Cotto thread and you will find..

"it dont matter, Floyd would destroy both of these bums"
"p4p, these bums can't touch Floyd"

Really? Well, this seems like wishful thinking my friends for this "P4P Fighter with a soul of a champion" would rather sucker you idiots into paying for his "entertainment" and keep growing his bank account rather than have you guys support him in his campaign to overcome all challenges. You guys are awesome.

The same awesome guys are the ones saying, "Why hate? Its about money now and he's doing it for himself?"

Are you seriously asking why people are hating on a fighter who discredits the best fighters in the past because of their records and at the same time claims HE is the best fighter of all time yet openly admits he will not fight the best competition because he wants money and fame?

              Are you ****ing ******?

You could tell hes already feeling the pressure from everyone for him to get in the ring with cotto. Its kind of funny at the same time cause he just digging himself in a whole. He should have at least stood shut and just fought DLH but since no one wants to see that, he has to make up a dumbass excuse why not to fight the #1 contender.

A few comments: Ray Robinson wasn't the great role model outside the ring like you probably think!!! But he was a great fighter no doubt about that. But I think it always heard to compare boxers from this time to that time.

Naseem Hamed: I don't know why you use these harsh words... You don't have to like his antics but like every fighter, fighter's have an other mindset then normal ppl. A defeat can do something to you that ''normal'' ppl probably never understand. Look at Roy Jones. Look at Foreman after Ali. Some ppl get so caught up in their own hype and forget what they really are. Hamed is also a prime example for me that even if your a great athlete it doesn't mean **** in boxing. Because the great athlete will always loose against a boxer who is a good athlete as well. That's the thing with Floyd, he has both.

I like Berto but no way, at least not at this point.
About Paul Williams we're going to fight something out I guess in the rematch. Does he have problems against boxers or was he just unprepared. If it would be second it's another thing what I stated before, Floyd never overlooked a opponent... he's a professional IMO.
Cotto like I stated before not enough foot speed to get close to him for enough time.
DLH I don't think so. But a lucky shot can always lend. Even if Senior explains him every trick in the book, you need to do this things. And DLH even in his prime I would dare to say never had these tools.
Valero??? Mhhh. That must be a dream for real!!!

plain and basic common sense. mayweather and his fans are not real boxing fans. we dont need cowards and businessman in boxing. the real entertainers in boxing are the men who put there life on the line and will go toe to toe to give the fans a knockout.

Sorry are you Mayweather's accountant? As a fan of boxing I would rather see a good boxing match then favor a fight which fattens up Floyd's wallet. I can't believe this, 'if it don't make dollars it don't make sense'... Well of course Cotto vs. Mayweather would make money! But De La Hoya is a better option financially, low risk high reward fight.
