He just said that no one at 147 was going to dominate Floyd, and that it would take a great fighter to decision him.

The thing is that I've actually seen the great fighters at the very time that they fought. And I have the top boxing magazines from the 1940's on for about 16 or more years. I've read all the articless by ther great boxing writers. So i have a little background, apart from also having boxed for years. And I've seen Mayweather, all his "big" fights since and including Corrales. I'm telling you that they'd chase him out of the ring for sure.

But it's just my opinion, He's a good, slick danger-avoiding fighter, wwhom I'm not sure would "step up to the plate" if he was behind in a fight and needed a brawling ending to win. I have nothing against him, other than I think his behaviour, scattering $100 bills around, is very bad, considering how many poor and hungry people there are in this world.

Well, yes... his "making it rain" is among the dumbest things I have ever heard.

Anyway, he just said that no one in history was going to blow Mayweather out. He may get KO'd, he may lose a decision to a truly great fighter, but no one is going to dominate Floyd and whitewash him on the scorecards, or batter him to death ending in a KO.

Tyson fighting McBride generated more money than Floyd could dream of generating in a fight against a bum.

If Floyd actually had any fans, he could fight anyone and still do crazy numbers at the box office.

The sad fact is that Floyd fights generally arent entertaining and arnet the kind of fights you would invite your friends over to watch.

That is why he needs to make the DLH 2 fight, because most people who arent boxing fans probably never heard of Cotto or any of the other welterweights.

He has turned into a businessman and hasnt been a fighter since his light weight days.

he will never satisfy the fans because they arent a priority. he takes the least risk for the mnost money. I think he'd beat cotto but he'd get busted up in the process and i dont think he's willing to go down that road when idiots pay $$$ to watch him and DLH tickle each other for 12 rounds.

Well you better start name dropping because all your doing is spraying cow manure all over the place , name 12 or more welter Robinson opponents that would make mince meat out of Floyd , and then will see where your objectivity resides .

You shouldn't try to be smarter than you actually are. I didn't mention ANYTHING about Robinson's WELTER opponents, I said "Robinson opponents". After all, Robinson was only a welterweight when he had many of his middleweight victories.

Boxrec shows that, for instance he fought LaMotta 6 times, winning 5 times having lost the 1st. In none of the fights except the last one, (weighing 150) in which he won the middleweight title, did he weigh more than about 145. LaMotta weighing in at 160 probably weighed about 170.

When he fought Joey Maxim for the Light-heavy title he weighed only 155 or so to Maxim's 174. Maxim reputedly weighed 185 in the ring whils Robinson reputedly lost 10 lbs dutring the fight. And Robinson was well past his peak by that time.

As you know he collapsed after the 13th round having won 10 of the rounds. Maxim purposely came in heavy, and d****d that weight all over Robinson to wear him out. You'd be interested to look at that fight I'm sure.

There's NO WAY that a guy like Mayweather would have the skills and the courage to do what Robinson did.
