Its easy to call the best out (of course for a pay day), the hard part is earning a fight with the best by beating the top guys to get there.

If you're a big name, everyone's gonna want to fight you for the payday and exposure. People are always yapping about how Miguel Cotto needs to "call out" Floyd Mayweather, but he's already insulted him in the press several times. It's not all that important anyway.

The negotiating table is where it matters, not your post-fight interview.

The "calling-out" in interviews is sometimes just hype for a fight that was probably gonna happen anyway.

People talking about "Hatton called out Mayweather, so the fight happened!"

If Hatton wasn't a big draw, his calling out Floyd would have fallen on deaf ears. The people who claim that Cotto needs to call out Floyd make me the most sick. That is such a pathetic excuse for a fight not happening.
