based off of what????????.....cotto does need floyd..............and anyone who ranks cotto over floyd in any ranking pfp or at welter..........is nothing more than a biased cotto fan.............a man who is ranked by many as pfp best is second to a welterweight who received his title because of a champion being stripped and beating margarito.....................lol............does that even make sense.....??????.......Comment

My point is that beating a Margarito who Paul already beat doesnt make you better then Floyd...Marg is being called a bum by Cotto fans....."bum flavored doritos" ring a bell??....dont change it up now....
Williams already beat Margarito......
If Cotto does the same...so what??Comment

i could not agree more. whats funny to me is how some people **** on cottos performance and record and praise mayweather as the p4p best in the same breath. the two fighters could have more in common. outstanding amatuer back grounds, olympians, both brought up in top rank through excellent match making(not padded) to bring them along to the point where they are now. i have to give the nod to cotto because he is currently facing the best competition and has said publicly that he will fight floyd but floyd and his managers keep saying he is not important and not a big money draw. what about giving the fans what they want. not just floyd fans who seem content with his low risk high reward style. just because his fights have just recently started to sell well (thanks to oscar and hatton) does not mean its good for boxing, its just good for floyd.Comment

Margarito is high risk up to a point. Plenty of other high risk, low reward fighters wanted to fight him (i.e. Winky Wright, Vernon Forrest, Kassim Ouma), but Arum turned them all down. Arum also turned Paul Williams down, but when Goosen and Williams exposed Arum as a hypocrit Margarito let pride take over and went ahead and lost that fight.
Arum was mad at Margarito because it exposed that though Margarito is really tough and willing to fight anyone he's limited and in many ways protected by Arum. That's not to say he isn't a tough out, but he's more Sakio Bika than Marvin Hagler.Comment

If it makes money, it makes sense. Money rules boxing now, deal with it.i could not agree more. whats funny to me is how some people **** on cottos performance and record and praise mayweather as the p4p best in the same breath. the two fighters could have more in common. outstanding amatuer back grounds, olympians, both brought up in top rank through excellent match making(not padded) to bring them along to the point where they are now. i have to give the nod to cotto because he is currently facing the best competition and has said publicly that he will fight floyd but floyd and his managers keep saying he is not important and not a big money draw. what about giving the fans what they want. not just floyd fans who seem content with his low risk high reward style. just because his fights have just recently started to sell well (thanks to oscar and hatton) does not mean its good for boxing, its just good for floyd.Comment

You act as if the Williams fight wasn't close either. but any what does that have to do with anything?
The majority of Cotto fans, like myself, respect Tony and realise he is a threat.
Only the nutthuggers and *****s think he isn't.. like yourself. I think it's funny how you are already trying to discredit Cotto if he wins though.
****s hilarious!Comment
