I say Leonard based on Benitez, Duran, Hagler, Hearns....Whitacker beat a lot of very god fighters. Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones beat a bunch even though he does not get credit for it. Chavez beat good fighters but not the level of a leonard, but like Duran he had sustained success. Camacho at first,,,,Hell how about Sanchez before he died,he was on his way to becoming a beat, Pacquio now....Mayweaher (Correles, Castillo, Dlh (who was shot, and others).

My Vote is Leonard, there is no one else that beat 4 fighters who are generally ranked in everyones top 50 all time.

      lennox lewis for heavyweight
people during his day dodged him, he avenged all his losses..etc

Pacquiao is there to his resume is stacked with high ranked fighters and all time greats..not to mention he moved up in weight many times.

I'm sort of hesitant to put sugar ray since he had ups and downs and con traversal wins.

Chavez hands down. He beat anybody and everybody with a few exceptions, he clearly beat the best champs and contenders. he beat the likes of
Mario Martinez, Ruben Castillo, Roger Mayweather 2x,Rocky Lockridge, Juan LaPorte,Edwin Rosario,J.L.Ramirez,M.Taylor 2x,Kyung Duk Ahn,Duplessis, Camacho,Jakubowski2x,Haugen, T.Ali,Tony Lopez,G.Parisi, David Kamau,He drew with sweet pea and Miguel Angel Gonzalez and lost a few to DeLaHoya, Randall,Tszyu,
But he beat tons of up and comers with 1 or 2 losses also (prospects).

Chavez was a good fighter but got his ass handed to him when he fought Whitacker, Taylor (cheated by stopping the fight wit 2 seconds left), Randall. So yes he beat some good fighter but is clearly a notch below a leonad, Duran, Mayweather, Jones, Manny P.

Them Apples what ups and downs during leonards peak years did he have. He lost a close fight to a seasoned 29 year old Duran who as 70-1 then came back and beat him, he previously stopped Benitez (Cotto I created this thread, so the Benetiz fights stands), Stopped Hearns, then not counting beating and stopping the undefeated Kalule who had not been dropped amateur or pro before and Ray moved up and stopped him..But Ray came back after 5 years wth only one fight moved u 2 weight classes and beat Hagler. Then yes he should have retired.

Ray Leonard. Realistically he was 36-1, he had no business fighting in the 90's.

Leonard controverisal decsion came after retirment to hearns...and the one vs Hagler was not controversial at the time. It has picked up steam after the fight. During the event the crowd, announcers, media, associated press magazines..every media outlet thought leonard won. It was after the fight and hagler started crying "leonard told me I won" that it started that there was controversy. Yes Leonard did lose the 2nd hearns fight, but anyone that knows boxing and leonard realizes that that post retirement version of leonard was a shell of himself.

Chavez was in peak years when Taylor was whipping his ass...way ahead and the referee stopped the fight with 2 seconds left. Hell had he motioned the fight continue Chavez if he was in the correct corner would not be able to land another punch. Whitacker easily and clealry beat Chavez. Not one viewer except the guy on here has ever said that they thougt Chavez won that fight.
