Difficult as I haven't tasted any! The best hookers must be Frazier, Cooney, Morrison and Ruddock (the smash). If I SHOULD pick a winner I'll probably have to go with Frazier.
not bad battheman, for myself it would probably have to be tommy. I mean some of the knockouts he scored with that left are terrifying. Pure, scary power

But seriously, didn't Ray Robinson throw "The Perfect Left Hook" against Fullmer?

        One round demolition by Frazier.

Highlight of Joe Frazier, IMO his best left hooks at 4:25 against Foster, 4:58 against Ellis and of course the Ali one at 5:30.

Morrison had a very powerful left hook but he rarely went to the body with it and it could be neutralized for example against Lennox Lewis.

I can't deny how awesome this left hook of Morrison's was though... I wonder how Ruddock got up from that!

Mike Tyson always said that his right hand was his better punch although he did devastate opponents with his left hand also.

I would add Liston's left hook...

        and Joe Louis.

For a smaller heavyweight, Patterson's leaping left hook was devastating.

I'd say Tyson, if he landed it correctly it was money.

I just saw the vid of that a couple days back. Besides Marciano/Walcott its the best punch I've ever seen.

nice points Manchine. But frazier was the shorter man therefore it was suited for him to go to the body more consistently. Tommy was a little taller, and was the better boxer of the 2 imo. His right hand was also better than fraziers'. But overall, being the bigger guy, and scoring most of his kos with that left id go with tommy. awesome left hook

i loved joe's left against ellis, that was probably his most devastating. Louis and Liston were also good punchers with the left, but i wouldnt add them to that list, because that punch was not their main asset.

i went for power, and included only heavyweights

on elite class, beauty, and elegance, tito would have made the list. but i wouldnt say that his left hook or any other punch, was more powerful than guys above 200 pounds

I think Wladimir Klitschko has the best left hook
