Who had a better Left Hook?

One round demolition by Frazier.
Highlight of Joe Frazier, IMO his best left hooks at 4:25 against Foster, 4:58 against Ellis and of course the Ali one at 5:30.
Morrison had a very powerful left hook but he rarely went to the body with it and it could be neutralized for example against Lennox Lewis.
I can't deny how awesome this left hook of Morrison's was though... I wonder how Ruddock got up from that!
Mike Tyson always said that his right hand was his better punch although he did devastate opponents with his left hand also.
I would add Liston's left hook...
and Joe Louis.
For a smaller heavyweight, Patterson's leaping left hook was devastating.Last edited by TheGreatA; 05-29-2008, 11:19 AM.Comment

nice points Manchine. But frazier was the shorter man therefore it was suited for him to go to the body more consistently. Tommy was a little taller, and was the better boxer of the 2 imo. His right hand was also better than fraziers'. But overall, being the bigger guy, and scoring most of his kos with that left id go with tommy. awesome left hook

i loved joe's left against ellis, that was probably his most devastating. Louis and Liston were also good punchers with the left, but i wouldnt add them to that list, because that punch was not their main asset.Comment
