    - Hatton KO's Castillo and Mocks Mayweather in the Post-fight.

    - The fight gets signed

Jesus are we really dealing with a ****** here?
Hattosn team wanted to him to make a bigger name in the US and they werent even contrated by HBO at the time.

Its funnny how Floyd uses that excuses about fighter " make a bigger name first, then Ill fight you "..
yet when Hatton's TEAM says it, its cuz he scared or ducking...

Floyd fought TWO title eliminators to fight Gatti at 140 then ROLLED out. he opnely said he wanted Zoo to have more fights first cuz he doesnt want excuses due to injuries and has also said he want Zoo to get old like his uncle was so he can beat up Zoo..

POINT IS HE PERSUED GATTI (TWO TITLE ELIMINATORS)....NOT zOO or Hatton.

Floyd ALSO claims he can fight anywhere from 154 to 140 , YET even though Hatton was the king at 140 (AND LEFT 147 CUZ HE WAS CRAP) Floyd woul;d finish business at 140.......

hatton is a BETTER fighter at 140 then 147. wake up.

Floyd "easier fights for more Money" Mayweather Jr.
plain and basic common sense. i bet you for the same money mayweather would not have fought cotto or margarito. they would knock him out.

But when he makes matches purely for the money, I think it's unrealistic for people to make any kind of excuses.

Floyd had so many more supporters when I first joined this site. So I'd say that he really lost popularity after the DLH fight, regained it a little bit after the Hatton fight, and then completely lost it after the DLH rematch.
I don't think you are a strange case. I'd imagine a lot of PBF fans feel the same way you do.

I am split on the matter. I understand perfectly why people complain about him fighting DLH again before Cotto.

But I also understand Mayweather for fighting him again, even for reasons other than money.

See, it was a split decision win for Floyd, in a fight were many felt DLH lost the fight, not that Floyd won the fight.
Being a perfectionist, I expected Floyd to fight DLH again right after they announced the winner, but then Oscar said he didn't want a rematch so I let the thoughts go elsewhere.

I felt Floyd really under-performed in that fight, and I sincerely believe he feels the same way. I think it bothers him to this day that he performed so badly when he could have done so much better, so I understand his desire to fight Oscar again.
The money is a very good reason, but so is the bad taste in his mouth after the first fight.

after the hatton fight, he did admit to underperforming in his last couple fights thus why he promised to let his hands go in the hatton fight.

Irrelevant as Mayweather is no bigger than Hatton.

The added weight helps Hatton's stamina due to less dehydration.
Not against bigger guys like Collazo of course, but against Floyd who is no bigger.

Technically, Mayweather is the smaller man. Hatton fills his own frame out much more than Floyd in between fights. Floyd started at 130. Hatton was 10 pounds north.
