- Floyd offers Hatton fights, not once but TWICE in 2006 before his fight with Zab Judah which was in April 2006.

- Hatton turns the fights down both times, Both fights were offered at 140, Floyd said he would be willing to move down.
- Hatton and his team "weren't ready" so the fights didn't happen at 140.
- Hatton KO's Castillo and Mocks Mayweather in the Post-fight.
- Floyd says make the ****ing fight happen.
- The fight gets signed

I was of course aware of why exactly some people criticized him, but I still felt like Foyd was proving himself in every fight. But when he makes matches purely for the money, I think it's unrealistic for people to make any kind of excuses.

Floyd had so many more supporters when I first joined this site. So I'd say that he really lost popularity after the DLH fight, regained it a little bit after the Hatton fight, and then completely lost it after the DLH rematch.

I am split on the matter. I understand perfectly why people complain about him fighting DLH again before Cotto.

But I also understand Mayweather for fighting him again, even for reasons other than money.

See, it was a split decision win for Floyd, in a fight were many felt DLH lost the fight, not that Floyd won the fight.
Being a perfectionist, I expected Floyd to fight DLH again right after they announced the winner, but then Oscar said he didn't want a rematch so I let the thoughts go elsewhere.

I felt Floyd really under-performed in that fight, and I sincerely believe he feels the same way. I think it bothers him to this day that he performed so badly when he could have done so much better, so I understand his desire to fight Oscar again.

Technically, Mayweather is the smaller man. Hatton fills his own frame out much more than Floyd in between fights. Floyd started at 130. Hatton was 10 pounds north.
