It will be an American heavyweight.....obviously.

All these people calling for fighters from the eastern block must be on crack. Like their German promoters will let them in with Haye without getting their pop at a belt first.

It will be a faded American first up. Hopefully Rahman, Toney would be disaster, he's shot to **** now he will be KO'd

David whoops all the HWs and becomes undisputed champ before losing to someone and losing the rematch. Wins one more belt then is out like a bad light bulb in to retirement. WAR david haye!!!

Hmm... how did Holyfield do against good big heavyweights like Rid**** Bowe and Lennox Lewis again? Remind me. Wlad is at the very least as good or better than Rid**** Bowe.

He was as the top of a decent division, Wlads top of a naff division, get it on next week I say.
          cruiser is weaker than heavyweight

i think chambers would TKO haye, the gayemaker has big holes in his defense that fast eddie would take advantage of.

i don't mind the added diversity haye brings, but i think he should fight some punchers who aren't slow as hell or 40 years old. carefull managing can make him look and appear better than he is. that will make all those uk boys post a million threads about how haye is going to be the next unified champ. and then, if he gets crushed somewhere along the way, we will hear about how big the difference is at heavyweight comparitively.
I like your letter. I have never seen Haye, so know nothing beyond what I read. And all the opposing opinions are just confusing. As a cruiserweight, (apart from Holyfield) the best I've seen is Juan Carlos Gomez. He had close to 40 straight wins, nearly all by KO before his first and only loss. he defended around a dozen times. He's had maybe 6 or 10 heavyweight fights so far and still no title fight.

So what makes Haye so good and so more deserving of heavyweight Title fight than Gomez. I'm talking about quality, skill and record, not crowd appeal. In all the fights of Gomez I've seen, he made an absolute fool of his opponent. Slick as butter. And knows exactly how to deliver a solid punch.

It's a money game and it's about crowd appeal. Not so much who deserves a shot. I'm not saying he doesn't but, thats what I see. He does bring a little life to the the division.

If Klitchko were smart, he'd do what many suggest....take Haye on now, put David to sleep and the money in the bank. It'll be an easy fight right now (maybe later, too, depending on how Haye improves) and will give both guys a great payday.

If Haye were smart, he'd keep his mouth shut and pretend as if Klitchko were just make-believe until he gets at least these two fights under his belt, and spends an added 4 to 6 months working on technique and getting prepared for Klitchko.
