Floyd fans are going crazy cause Floyd is irrelevant right now. It's about Cotto and Margarito. Nodbody is feeling that BS fight DLH vs Mayweather. One is a crossdresser and the other one tries to dress like a "thug." Both use costumes... at least DLH has courage and NEVER ducked anybody.

U show me where Hatton has called Floyd out on national tv, the way u want Cotto to do. If i recall correctly, Hattons exact words were "in this fight, you got more value for your money in these 4 rounds than you have in Floyd's whole career, i'll just leave it at that" Please point out how that constitutes to calling Floyd out. Disrespecting and trash talking? Yes. Calling him out and challenging him to a fight? No.

these aren't excuses...........lol.....before floyd gave what you call excuses.......he came to 140...he wanted that fight.......they tried to sick cotto's sparring partner on floyd(bruseles)....and floyd put on a show...........cotto's camp told the world they would rather wait than fight floyd because they didn't know if cotto would fight at 140 or 147......he came to 147 and felt better physically........and he won a vacant title that he never should've fought for................any real fan who isn't biased towards the fighter they like knows that floyd wants to create a super fight....when he talked about cotto's fan base........basically he is saying he wants more cotto fans to support him so that if they ever fight......it would be a huge ppv super fight..............sugar leonard turned tommy hearns down for a year before their super fight...dundees words were..let the fight marinate(build up).....and that fight became maybe top 3 in welterweight history............floyd also wanted to see other guys in the division fight each other rather than get in line to fight him..................margs has been the only fighter willing to face everyone......he beat clottey, fought williams, cintron twice and is now facing cotto....all floyd wants to do is fight the winner to make the best fight and most possible money........floyd and cotto haven't fought the best welters yet.......margs has a better resume than both at welter.......

I've already outlined my thoughts. I find it very difficult to believe that Floyd is now ducking a man he wanted to fight 7lbs ago. Makes no sense.

Plus, none of the two things you mentioned sound like, "I WANT to fight Floyd Mayweather, and prove myself against the best."

We all saw what happened when Larry Merchant asked him. He had the same opportunity Ricky Hatton had. Only one jumped at it.

Problem is there's a perception that Floyd is ducking Cotto and not the other way around (fair or not fair). Just the mere fact that ESPN, Maxboxing and other legit media sources are posting articles about it, is an issue - and everytime Floyd is in front of a camera: why don't you fight Cotto? Cotto is playing a very intelligent angle to this by not calling out Floyd directly - he's letting the fans/media do the talking and he's really disrespecting Floyd much worse but not even acknowledging him as the top WW. That in combo with the growing demands of a Cotto/PBF matchup, really put more pressure on Floyd NOT Cotto. The ONLY reason Hatton got the fight was because Floyd saw the UK $$$ coming into Vegas and it was a low-threat fight. Without that, Hatton could have called out Floyd's mama and the fight wouldn't have happened.

At 140, Floyd CLEARLY stated that he had no interest in fighting Cotto because he felt Cotto was still to green. Do i have to post the quote again?

bad barracuda i challenge you to answer this question. outside of miguel cotto what fight is there for floyd to make? none - not a single one of any interest. cotto is next in line. so he shouldn't have to open his mouth. when you get in line to get on a ride at disney, when you reach the front do you have to tell the attendant your next? do you have to inform the ride staff that you've been waiting for three and a half hours and that you demand to get on next? no cotto is the quiet storm that has been brewing for a long time now and mayweather has been hoping to the god he prays to for better weather. its not going to happen. i hate that i have to repeat this but cotto has already said:

"when he has the courage to fight me, i will fight him"
