cotto aint scared ,a couple of years ago like in 2005 hatton turned down a fight with him,margarito turned a fight down with him last year,i agree he could get a big payday with mayweather but he aint worried about mayweather,that's why he still did'nt lose yet ,becuase he focused on the fight he got in front of him.even when he fought gomez he even said it ,iam focused on gomez who ever is next then i will focus on them.STOP HATING ON THE DUDE if the dude loses then talk ****.

I may never have boxed, but unlike Floyd, I would have resolved this Cotto thing already. Why are people still arguing about this? Both fighters stated their views on a possible fight.
Cotto has gone on record saying he will fight anyone his team puts in front of him, Mayweather included, as far back as Cotto's victory over Victoriano Sosa. Mayweather has gone on record saying he's not going fight Cotto for the time being. The ball is in Mayweather's court. The fight doesn't happen until Mayweather wants it to happen.Comment

I agree Mayweather should want this fight. My post was aimed at the posters who keep saying Cotto has to call Mayweather out. Even if Cotto was to become the man at 147 the ball would still be in Mayweather's court. The question still remains, will Mayweather pick it up and opt to play. For the time being all signs point to no. It takes two to tango and right now only one fighter is willing to show up to the dance.

Cotto 'opening his mouth' won't do ****. Mayweather has said he will not fight Cotto until Cotto is a bigger name. That means that Cotto is doing exactly what he needs to do, which is win all of his fights and become the unified WW champ.
He doesn't need to open his mouth because his fighting is doing all the talking for him. As long as he keeps on winning that is all he needs to do.
He hasn't opened his 'yap' for any of his other big fights and he has gotten all the big fights he needs to have gotten so far.

No matter what Cotto says at the moment Mayweather will be the one who decides to fight. It is up to Mayweather, not Cotto. Cotto is already Mayweather biggest threat and everyone knows that including Mayweather but Mayweather being the supposed P4P champ it is up to him, not Cotto. Cotto has already said he will fight anyone and that includes Mayweather. He doesn't feel the need to interrupt his career by bagging out Mayweather every chance he gets. His fights do that for him as long as he keeps winning which is what he is doing. That's all he needs to do and the fight will make itself.Comment

I'm pretty sure he meant that Cotto has never called out any of those other fighters, which is true. He hasn't. He fights who his team put in front of him, which is all he needs to do and when Mayweather decides to fight Cotto then Cotto has already stated that he will. It is all up to Mayweather, not Cotto.Comment
