Lewis fought journeyman Oliver McCall for the vacant WBC title, McCall has a mental breakdown and the ref stops the fight. Then he fights a much smaller, 37 year old Evander Holyfield for the IBF and WBA ,I'm thoroughly impressed, really. Lennox could have fought Vitali Klitschko, or Chris Byrd, or Wladimir Klitschko for the WBO title, but alas not. Lennox is very lucky that Rahman gave him a rematch, or no one would ever be talking about Lewis as a top 10 ATG HW.

Okay, now listen closely. vitali is not going to mess up any unification plans. wladimir has to take care of a mandatory or two first. second, vitali doesn't plan on staying in boxing for 5, or even 2 or 3 years. he just wants his damn title back so they both become champs at the same time. so no more **** about him holding up the division. how many times does this have to be said?
It's funny how people look for a reason to complain and moan and not think about the issue. You are 100% right on all points.

If Vitali makes it to the ring (about 10% chance) and is at least 75% of his old self (75% chance), he will humiliate Peter like Wlad and Toney (1st fight) did. I'd love to see Peter waking up from the KO and yelling, "Whosnest?".

If Vitali can get himself in good shape without injuries going in, I think he he will beat Peter. He always had a strong beard and can dish it out with the best of them.

What I am wondering though, is will he light train to avoid injuries? If he does that, will he leave himself open to injuries during the fight when he goes all out?

They are not concern about the heavyweight mediocore status, all they want are their ABC titles.

When Wlad fought Ibragimov, he did a very safe fight just to get that "W", when he could have tore the head of his opponent with successive assaults using his obvious reach and height advantage. But what Wlad did was to jab his way to the title. Hence, Wlad doesnt care if he fought a boring fight or what the mainstream fans want just to revive their dying dividision.

Just like his brother, vitali doesnt care what would be the effect of winning the title and its consequences to the heavyweight division. All they want is to have their title at the same time which nobody cares really.

Their weak chins will not make them a recognize undisputed champion. I hope Haye would kick their ass both and save the division and boxing in general.
Their weak chins? You're a fool, do your research. Vitali has never been knocked down in his career. He took the best punches Lewis had to offer and never looked hurt. He took the same left hook that knocked out Wlad and never wobbled. How is that a weak chin?

I agree. Lewis landed a couple uppercuts that would have tore the head off most guys, but Vitali handed them well. One of them shook him up a bit, but how could they not? They were monster shots.

I have always wondered about that. You have two brothers, so much alike in their physical makeup. One exhibits an average chin, while the other one shows an exceptional one.

He wasn't KO'd, he was TKO'd due to injuries. It had nothing to due with his chin. If you really don't understand the difference, then I'd be amazed if you can even make a peanut butter sandwich.

It helps if you don't get all of your information off of Boxrec, and actually watch a fight or two or read a boxing article before you run your trap.

Boy his chin really ****** in that Byrd fight, you know when his arm came out of the socket and he quit on his stool, and it really ****** in the Lewis fight when he wasn't taking great shots from Lennox when the fight was stopped due to a severe cut(s), which I still think were caused by a headbutt.
