They would get in some good exchanges in that fight, but everytime Cotto hit Pinto he rocked him or dropped him. Margarito has a great chin and that probably wont happen to him. And although Pinto was 20-0 (18 KOs) I think Margarito is a much better puncher.

That being said, i think Cotto-Margarito is going to be ***ing explosive son! I think Cotto will catch Margarito with very hard solid shots like he was catching Pinto on the inside with his shorter arms against the taller man. They are gonna get in some good exchanges man this fight is going to be good!
this comparison between Margarito and Pinto is not a good comparison and from this fight we can draw no conclusions to Margarito/Cotto.

Cotto has never faced anyone as physically strong as Margarito... but that won't be enough for Margarito to beat Cotto... Cotto UD Margarito.

Where is Pinto now? Didn't Steward say Pinto could have been better then Cotto if Pinto was guided like Cotto was? I remember Stewards said this.

And why is Pinto so highly regarded as a Cotto opponet, just because he hurt Cotto?

Margarito is three times stronger the Pinto and Pintos punchs are not like Margaritos.
What fight did you see that Cotto was hurt against Pinto??

The only advantage that Mararito has against Cotto is his chin and work-rate. Other than that, Cotto is far more skilled in EVERY department.

Furthermore, one thing that people fail to admit or mention is that Margarito just lost to an opponent of lesser quality than Cotto. Matter a fact he lost to Paul Williams which was just out-classed by Quintana whom was demolished by Cotto.

Cotto has fought better opposition than Margarito and is undefeated. Margarito has tasted defeat several times.

2 of Margarito's last 4 opponents outclassed him (Clottey and Williams) both of these fighters are of much lesser quality than MIGUEL COTTO!!!

No doubt Cotto is the more skilled fighter. But whats up with saying Clottey outclassed him thats funny.

Margarito has skills too but they ain't as pretty looking as Cottos refined boxing skills.

I havn't seen the Pinto fight in a while but i recall Pinto hurt Cotto which followed by them going toe to toe feroucialy.

If Clottey would not have hurt his hand, Margarito would have another L on his record.

Yet you're telling me to go and watch the fight. Sounds like you should the same. What happened was in the 2nd round, their was an exchange of punches and afterwards Cotto started fighting off the back foot. Manny and Lampley were speculating that Pinto may have had Cotto thinking twice with a punch landed in the exchange. Larry said it looked to him like Cotto wanted to let Pinto lead and counter his wide shots, which is exactly what happened not even 30 seconds later. Cotto fighting with his back against the ropes, dropped Pinto with a right hand and a grazing left hook. Cotto was never in any trouble in that fight what so ever.

Ok, my bad then i got to watch that fight again. I recall him being hit hard then Pinto jumping on him and then Cotto started swinging for the fences then both were throwing bombs till Cotto outlasted Pinto.

This is why I hate Cotto, Why make a big ****in deal about Pinto. Pinto??!! Are u serious?
Like I said, hand picked opponent with a good record against soft opposition, that they try to make a world beater in order for Cotto to be put on a pedestal. Feather fisted fighter. If he is such a bad ass why didnt he give Torres a rematch?

Can't believe you are singing this song......

If the Lupe Pintor v. Wilfredo Gomez fight was a 12 round title fight Pintor would have won a UD.

If Zarate v. Gomez would have been in a neutral ground who knows who would have won.
