Stop the bull****! Hatton was hurt and the ref saved him! he did what he had to do to make sure those 50,000 plus went home happy! Matthew Hatton had lost earlier, could you imagine that place if Ricky would have got stopped?!? give me a break, the ref cheated and everybody who saw the fight saw it! Shame on the ref!

Cortez was an embarrassment. This ref allowed them to clinch and infight and break themselves mostly. Lazcano actually did better in the clinches, when he wasn't hurt, speaking of which, the ref stopped the action on a few occasions when he was hurt to warn him about holding which saved him from Hatton breaking away and maybe getting the KO.
The alleged hurt Hatton period comes after Lazcano looks ready to go after terrible punishment. Instead of crediting Lazcano putting together a magnificient stand at the gates of Hell that did rock Hatton, you chaps, WHERES BLACK JES WHO STARTED THIS MALARKEY, you dear chaps act like Hatton was done in.
Going to the corner after the ref breaks for Laz pulling him down and hitting, a regular break practiced a dozen times every week by refs across this country, Hatton does a little stumble as he steps on the loose lace. He looks down and starts holding his boot up, a legit equipment fix.
Hatton's style precludes a masterclass performance description, but he completely dominates and has Lazcano out on his feet a half dozen times or more in the bout. All credit to Juan for a truly brave performance he could have pulled the plug on several times with nobody the wiser.
Much ado over nothing but for a few dolts who are probably anarchists breaking windows and burning cars when they ain't creating mountains out of molehills.
The bigger disgrace was Paulie and N'dou. Paulie looks and hits like a girl, and N'dou looks like Tarzan and fights like Jane.
Boxing needs more Hattons and Lazcanos willing to scrap. Let the Black Jes go stare at statues of boxers in the park since they like posers.
Love him, or hate him Hatton attracts more fans than Floydy does in the USA.
